Writer's Block Bookstore

A cute, independent bookstore in Winter Park, FL. They have a lot of fun events and author visits. Definitely a gem. I visited for the Kristin Harmel pre-launch, and enjoyed the whole quaint downtown area.

I have been shopping here since the opening of the original store and have loved to see how it has expanded and continues to grow. It was a much-needed addition to Central Florida. The book selection is incredibly diverse from local authors to national best sellers. There is a book there for everyone. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and the cafe is a nice addition to sip coffee, spend time writing and/or reading one of your new selections. I also appreciate all of the visiting authors and story time that they promote.

Absolutely love this place! I've popped in a few times over the years but made a stop in recently and had the absolute best experience! was shopping for some gift ideas for my nephew and was at a loss, but that's when Erin from the kids section stepped in. She was my absolute savior. She was very sweet, attentive and gave me quite a few recommendations to work with. Could not have done it without her. 10/10 customer service experience. Will definitely keep recommending, this place AND Erin to my book loving friends.

Writer’s Block Bookstore is one of my favourite shops on Park Ave. And now they have an expanded kids’ section! They have a cute stationery section, too. The staff are super friendly and will help you find what you need if you’re shopping for a gift. Erin in the kid’s department was super sweet and knowledgeable.

i absolutely love coming to this bookstore for the wide selection of books available and for the coffee counter at the back. in addition to all of the books here, there are also cute gifts, little trinkets, and stationary. the staff is super friendly and really knowledgeable on all of the books and authors available.

Such a lovely bookstore tucked away in Winter Park, next to a number of small shops and restaurants. They also serve coffee in the back of the bookstore. My family really enjoys visiting this local bookshop and supporting them! Always a great time and vibe.

My favorite bookstore in Orlando! They have a great selection and the staff make the best recommendations. This is also where I order books from online for pick-up. The pick-up gives me an excuse to go check out their current selection.

Both of the books in the picture were suggested to me while I was picking up another book a few months back. I likely would not have picked them on my own, and I loved them! THIS is why small local bookstores are amazing! THIS is why Writer's Block is my favorite!

Wide variety of selection and spacious environment and friendly service. Smiles and greetings. A lot of stores and restaurants nearby and places to sit and look at. It is in a convenient location. Everyone seemed happy.

I love the selection and I'm excited about how it's going to grow and the things they're going to add.

This bookstore has a great selection of books, knick knacks, and damn good coffee! There is also a small patio outside the back of the store, which is a nice, comfortable place to kick back with a fresh brew and crack open your new book.

Great book store! They have nice chairs to relax and peruse books in! Also they have tons of great books for a smaller space. Their staff is super friendly and helpful.

An addictive book (& related paraphernalia) store... with so many personal & knowledgeable touches to connect you to the books.

I absolutely loved learning that downtown Winter Park has such an amazing indie bookstore. I chatted quite a bit with Max during my visit, and was very impressed with their selection of titles. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many books in Spanish they had (considering the store size, they carry far more titles than most independent bookstores I've visited). I couldn't help myself and got a tote bag worth of books... And will be back for more in the future!

My biggest regret was not spending more time in there.
I did walk out with 2 books, some stickers and other things for around $50!

I wish I woildve found this the day before when I had nothing but time to Jill but I'm still so glad I stumbled upon this place.

Very cute bookshop! It’s a smaller shop but still has a great selection. The children’s section is great, and my son was able to find several books he liked. The staff was friendly too!

I adore this store. If your a book lover shop here to support local businesses. Usually the staff is friendly and will talk to you about their love of books. Last visit wasn't as friendly maybe she's new. But every other visit you can tell they have a passion for their local customers. It's small but cozy they change the selection often.

So cozy and cute. Everything a bookstore should be. I also LOVED their wall of banned books.

I took my boys here after a fun-filled weekend at the waterpark in Orlando and this was the highlight of the trip for me! It is a cute, little bookstore with friendly staff and a great selection. They had a section for banned books and LGBTQ authors which we enjoyed and made us feel so welcome. I cant wait to visit the next time we are in town.
