DCA Cafe

On a recent trip from DC to Annapolis, I looked up restaurants along the way and DCA Cafe popped up. DCA cafe looked delicious and was on a campus with a mosque, so it definitely looked intriguing. And it wasn't crazy out of the way. If it looks vacant wheb you drive up, don't worry, follow the path and park underground, there are signs for the Cafe. It is super easy to find because there are only 3 or 4 buildings, it just looks like intimidating from the road like, will I find this place and will it be open? When you walk in, it is vast with plenty of tables. You order at the register, there are drinks and fresh baked breads. The menu has breads, meat, rice, sandwiches. They also have Turkish coffee and tea. It is very relaxing and they are super friendly. This is exactly the kind of interesting spot when you're on the road.

Excellent place for turkish food. Its all halal. The entire compound where this is located is beautiful. Turkish architecture is amazing. As for the food in this place, it also was amazing. We tried the iskendar, pizza (im forgetting the exact name but its without cheese and has minced beef on it), cheese pide, bakhlava, thres leches cake (turkish style). Everything was very delicious. All of the staff are super friendly and nice.

Great food and outstanding service. The wife and I dined there this week for the first time. We WILL return as regulars. The underground easy parking is a big plus too.

Delicious Turkish food, the restaurant offers breakfast and lunch menus. The food is always very fresh and they bake their own bread and semet.

By the nature of the Diyanet Center of America, visiting the DCA Cafe is a must. We were able to order food upfront and were served minutes later to our table. The Iskender featured fresh doner meat, a mild tomato sauce with slightly stale bread alongside thick yogurt, which made for a decent offering of the Turkish classic. Though the Doner Wrap featured the same doner meat as the former dish, it lacked moisture making it a standard meat wrap served with lightly-spiced fries. The Lehmacun used a vibrant meat blend on top of a thin yet airy bread base. In all, all the meals exhibited milder flavors than those found in most mainstream Turkish eateries. For dessert, the Supangle offered a rich and smooth chocolate pudding with albeit stale cream puffs coated by the pudding. With all profits headed to the Masjid just a few feet away, it was a no brainer to visit DCA Cafe and enjoy it's menu while appreciating the layout, furnishing and service.

What a gorgeous place, and lovely restaurant! The food was delicious and the ambiance was lovely. We enjoyed walking around the grounds after our meal. We will definitely be back.

Stunningly delicious food and beautiful space. You trully feel like you are in one of the nicest spaces in Istanbul or in the DC area. Finally, a place you feel at home eating wonderful food and where you could stay for hours.

I took my two sons (3 yo and 6 yo) and I've honestly never seen both eat so much. I think that's because the Turkish breakfast comes with everything anyone could want, and so no one is left empty handed - believe or not, even the finicky elder boy who eats only plain things.

For myself, being able to chill while sipping tea and with everything to choose from was great. I'm happy to go back tomorrow with my wife now that she knows what she missed out on!

Amazing food and a hidden gem in the area!

Place is gorgeous we just followed the signs for the cafe in the underground parking garage. Prices between 14-21 for the food which was the perfect portion sizes for us adults. Got the cheese pide, meatballs, mixed kebap and chicken sandwich and all were excellent. Staff were super lovely. The hot pepper served to the side with the food is HOT, they got our group member who made the mistake of trying to eat it whole, a glass of milk and checked back in on us. Don’t worry the food itself is just perfectly spiced, not to hot at all. Great chance to see a part of this gorgeous mosque complex and have some good foods.

Went on a Friday and luckily we got there before Jummah prayer because there was a long wait after Jummah prayer. This was our second visit to the cafe. We stopped there once before last October. Food quality and service is still excellent. My wife was a little disappointed in the portion of her Donner Kebab, but overall a good experience. Just be aware that if you want the Donner Kebab, then wait at least 1 hour after the open to go otherwise you will have to wait for the kebab to prepare for service.

The best Turkish food and the most delicious breakfast you can eat in the DMV area!

Impressed by the entire campus. The mosque reminded me of Blue mosque of Istanbul.

The food was delicious, but the portions were very small. We had to ask for more bread. Service was great and staff were very friendly. The restaurant has a very modern and clean look. We felt like we were in Istanbul, a beautiful place. I would go back again.

I was here for jummah and decide to grab me some lunch. I ordered the chicken wrap which was good. Next time I come back here I will try the Doner.
