This is a great park! We visited the beach on two different days, and it was clean and easy to access. Be aware that there are some steep inclines to climb up and down from the parking lot to the beach. There are clean restrooms and multiple food carts. The water is clear. There are lots of interesting rocks.

BEAUTIFUL!!! We went during early March when there wasn't many people around and wow I mean wow the dunes were so beautiful and the views oh my lord it's incredible. The hikes are brutal though and not for the faint of heart! Even during a cold March day we had to drink lots of water so be careful.

Spent the afternoon here. The beach was in good condition. Restrooms were clean. Plenty of parking. No shells, but lots of pebbles and some sea glass make for a good place to comb the beach..

Beautiful park. Nice beach access. Well maintained facilities. They had food trucks. Dog beach as well. Big, long beach.

My daughter and I were visiting the area for Christmas weekend and we took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather. We visited Warren Dunes twice and just enjoyed the shoreline and scenery. She put her feet in the (COLD!!) water and I sat in my chair in the sand. It was quiet and beautiful and a really wonderful way to connect with nature. We go to the beaches and dunes a lot in the summer and they are always packed but it was so nice having practically the whole beach and state park to ourselves.

A very special place, where the water meets the sand meets the forest. Really beautiful hikes and sweeping views. Plenty of parking but beware that the bathrooms are closed and the tables pit away for the winter.

We went on the 4th of July and I really thought it would be more crowded than it was. We found some decent real-estate near the water and weren't encroached upon at all (other than by a greedy seagull, but that's another story). The water was very clear and was already close to 70 degrees (F), which made swimming a real treat in the heat of the day. The sandbar isn't too far out and makes for a great escape if the water at the shore gets a little too rambunctious.
You'll notice some folks walking around covered in clay (like something out of National Geographic). You can, and should, find out why. Follow the little stream up into the woods (I highly recommend using the foot path, but if you prefer to slog through the water that's cool too). This will lead you to a spot where you can scrape clay out of the walls of the riverbank and cover yourself up in fresh earth.
There is a pretty big hill to climb that gives a great view of everything around, also. It's worth the trek up there around sunset to really appreciate the natural beauty of the lake itself.
All in all it was an enjoyable experience for all of us. I do wish people would clean up after themselves, but that has nothing to do with the dunes themselves, so I won't hold it against them.

We enjoy driving places and finding surroundings in the area to visit!! After a trip to New Buffalo beach we discovered this hidden gem for $11 parking and you can literally spend the entire day here and adventure!! My 12 year old daughter and I conquered the dune and my wife watched us from halfway and got some great pics!! It's totally worth the try and the bathrooms are cleanly, the park is well policed and very safe and the gift shop has every need you would have while on site at a State Park!! WOW WOW WOW!! We loved it and will be back for another visit shortly!!

Perfect place to camp for a getaway. We moved to the city a few years back, and this has been our go-to spot to get away from the action and chill out

Beautiful hidden gem in southern Michigan. We barely even touched upon it's vastness. Definitely quite a hike walking through sand but well worth it. My daughter said it feels like you're on a different planet. Judging by the amount of paw prints in the sand I'd say this place is dog friendly. Just an all around great place to explore. We'll be heading back to explore more of this beauty in spring.

A fun beach. I've never been when the beach wasn't clean. People are good about picking up after themselves. The water is always chilly. The dunes are fun. It's nice that you walk up as far as you want then run down vs running down then having to climb back up like sleeping bear.
Restrooms are always clean. There is a fee to get in. If we didn't have the pass I'd still be ok paying it since the amenities are well kept up.
Overall, a fun place to just hangout and have fun or relax.

That’s a really nice beach not far from Kalamazoo on Lake Michigan! It can get pretty packed here during weekend but it’s a nice place to hangout and catch some sunlight.

You need to have some sort of a pass to get in for free, otherwise you might have to pay a little for entrance but it’s not too bad.

Also there’s a tall dune right behind the beach that you can climb up and watch the sunset from there. The climb might be intense for some people but it’s beautiful up there!

Alcohol is forbidden to bring in and there are rangers that check it but it’s not even necessary. Definitely worth it.

There's a state park fee but it was well worth it. We'll maintained beach and park. Dog specific beach at the far end of the beach parking lot.

$11 out of state day pass was well worth it. They only accept cash/check for entry.
Climbing the dunes is a major highlight. Beautiful views on the hiking trail and the trail leads right to the lake in a loop style. There is also a section of the beach for dogs. Bring bug spray!

I grew up on boats on Lake Michigan. From a baby until late teens constantly. My twenties, thirties and forties sporadically. Let's just say I know my way around the lake.

Yet today I found the greatest beach and the greatest places on earth. No, I'm not going to tell you exactly where. I'm far too selfish. And it is not easy today to find 100 archers on the lake of pristine wilderness and dunes that you can comfortably walk around buck naked in because there is nobody around for miles. And comes complete with old ruins of concrete building foundations like something out of a Roman Museum ruin. So this is my little secret. But I will let on that it is near Warren Dunes and I will even post pictures and video of my little Paradise.

Lovely beach. Safe swim area. No lifeguards. There are roll out sidewalks in the sand, allowing wheelchair access 1/2 way to the water. No alcohol allowed, which they do inforce. Great sand dune across from the beach for climbing. Wonderful trails and camping spots. Open until 10pm. Loved it. We went every sunny day.

Wonderful place! Completely enjoyed the 4 mile hike up the dunes. Tough hike so wear comfortable hike shoes and carry water and some snacks! Can't tell u how many people hiked it and were sick because they were dehydrated, so carry loads of water. Beautiful views from the top. $11 entrance fee for non residents. Totally worth it! Avoid weekends as it gets crowded. I went on a Wednesday so barely anyone there. Best go in the morning when it's cooler.

Awesome place to visit, good for walking. It is a windy beach so plan accordingly.

Completely open and open. The winds that were coming in were completely nice and allowed. All the sand to be moving around. People were friendly and helped us. Get around easily when we did get lost.
