Free! Very educational! I would definitely recommend the Festival of the Sugar Maples. It was easy to walk; there were people of all ages who attended. It would be a good field trip for kids. There's an opportunity to practice drilling a hole for tapping, tasting the maple sugar water straight from the tree, and tasting maple syrup. The syrup we sampled was from 2019 as they said that was a good year for them. This year, 2024, they didn't get a lot of syrup because the weather was unseasonably warm. There is a gift shop at the end of the tour. I bought maple syrup, maple butter and maple cookies.

What a nice event for the area! Unfortunately the weather didnt allow for Sap collection this year (2019). We did however enjoy some 2016 syrup! The fire was hot and the event staff did a remarkable job telling the story of Maple Syrup.

This is a fun and educational family experience! Geared toward all ages. Learn about the history and process of making maple syrup. I had a great time.
