Delicious and friendly! Excellent sandwiches, muffin and cappuccino to-go! You can tell each ingredient is thoughtfully incorporated into its dish. Down to the wheat berry bread they use for their sandwiches, yum!

Big Cat’s truly makes everyone feel at home from the moment you walk in the door—comfortable setting with handcrafted beverages, sandwiches, and sweets. A welcomed addition to downtown Muscatine, I highly recommend. Also, Big Cat’s breakfast sandwiches are THE BEST in town. Game changer! Recommend sausage or chorizo.

Raspberry chocolate chip scones are delicious. Real, whole raspberries, not fake flavoring.

I enjoyed this cozy setup with lots of natural lighting. I had hot cocoa which was rich and delicious and paired nicely with the spinach quiche that was pleasantly appetizing. Staff were very friendly. Price point is a bit high if you're looking for an alternative to a chain or Starbucks but the flavor doesn't miss a beat!

This is a really excellent little coffee spot in Muscatine. I stopped both days I was in town recently. The staff was friendly and helpful. They recommended a Morning Glory muffin, which was amazing! Coffee was strong and flavorful. Located inside an old historic building downtown. I’d give 10 stars if I could! I’ll definitely be back if I’m ever in town again!

Great coffee, great people. Stopped by late Saturday morning and had a lovely woman make an excellent iced mocha coffee. There was also a friendly gentleman who took the time to answer my questions regarding the history of the building.

I got a caramel macchiato, extra espresso shot, whole milk. It tasted like, when you’re a kid and you try coffee for the first time, and you have this hopeful dream about what it will taste like…the coffee here tastes like that. Best coffee I’ve had, anywhere. Hands down!

Highly recommend visiting Big Cat's Café. Great coffee and the Swanky Roast Beef is the best and don't forget to grab some of those homemade chips! Great views over looking the mighty Mississippi. If you are looking for a quality place with great food look no further!

Had to travel to Muscatine and was hunting for a place to hang out a few hours. Stopped at Big Cat's Cafe. Great drinks, great food, and great place. Was able to get a few hours work done and enjoy watching the river.

Highly recommend stopping in and grabbing something delicious. Big Cat, Mollie and the entire gang will treat you like you are family!

big cats is the comfort spot in muscatine. between the fantastic array of delicious food offerings and insanely complex drink options (that aren’t hard to order) you are always guaranteed something enjoyable. the staff are all incredible at their jobs, and actually seem like they enjoy working. if i’m in a bad mood i can guarantee to leave big cats feeling positive and refreshed. this cafe is an experience you just can’t get from a large chain. i recommend big cats to anyone and everyone.

Loved the food and service. A 78 year old friend told me that he got the best sandwich he ever had from this place. I totally see why he said that. My sandwich was amazing.

Wonderfully delicious sandwiches and beverages! I've had the Cranberry Chicken salad sandwich and their veggie sandwich. Scrumptious!

The owner was super-hospitable and made me feel welcome. The atmosphere, a well-designed mix of old meets new, was very comfortable and relaxing with a perfect view of the Mississippi River. Being in town for a week on business, this sort of experience really helps. Obviously homemade, the Carrot Cake, which he generously served me, was amazing! Washing it down with a nice cup of dark Sumatra coffee really hit the spot before my early start to day. Big Cat's Cafe will be my go-to spot every time I return to Muscatine.

I was on a work trip in Muscatine Iowa. I wanted to treat the team to some bakery breakfast treats and asked The Merrill Hotel manager for a recommendation. He immediately said - Big Cats one block away. The selections were abundant! The bakery items were scones, muffins and bars. All so flavorful and fresh. And coffees. The owner has a great positive attitude and is a foodie himself. I am happy i found this gem and plan on going back. The peach scone was my favorite!

Perfect spot for a delicious lunch! The soups are incredible, especially as the weather is turning cooler. The roasted red pepper soup is a must! Yummy scones with hot tea. I'll be enjoying the fruit smoothies well into the winter, as well! So glad for this gem of a cafe in Muscatine!

Pleasant atmosphere and kind order taker - large portion for a half sandwich. Puts Panera's size of what a half sandwich is to shame!!!

This is a wonderful place to have breakfast or lunch in Muscatine. Everything we had today was homemade and delicious (soup, sandwiches, cookies, coffee and smoothies). The dining area is beautiful and the river views are amazing. Such a sweet local cafe! We will definitely be back and often.
