Schatzi's Pub and Bier Garden

Cool vibe, friendly service and a great beer selection. The kitchen staff are the real stars here, pumping out tasty and filling dishes from a space smaller than most people's closets. Food was flavorful and fresh, with quality ingredients and great portions for the price. The easily accessible parking across the street is a bonus!

This place is amazing!!!! Go there ASAP..... And when the weather is good their outside seating is Poughkeepsie hidden gem. I have eaten virtually everything on their menu! I have never been disappointed! The burger of the month is always a great choice and they are very creative with them! The owner and staff are the best of the best! If you are in Poughkeepsie and you want amazing food in a fantastic place look no further! Perfect for date night or any size group! You will just love it and go again and again!

So I ordered food from Shatzi's and wow I was impressed. Recently moved to the area and I've been trying different foods and came across shatzis as I've been hearing good things. I order the shatzi burger, pretzel poutine, bratwurst, hamburger egg rolls. Upon entering the place it has a great vibe. There was a female at the bar who was very nice and had my order ready. The food was great there are no complaints. I highly recommend you try the Shatzi burger. I will definitely order again from Shatzi's.

We were just in town for the day, and very happy we stopped here. The dishes were first-rate, the servers could not have been nicer. Great beer selection.

We came here after ballroom dance class. Everything was so darn good! I mean so good I still can taste it.
Service was really great. The on tap beers we really nice.
We sat outside on the patio and it was a very nice enclosed area. We had such a nice relaxing time.
Update: over a year later and we still live it here. Just returned after covid 19 happened and outside dining was a plus. Great Reuben!

Welcoming and social atmosphere with great beer options. We arrived with a large group (8) and no reservations but they managed to find us space and made the children in the group feel comfortable and included. The food is, as expected, on the heavy side but it tasted great.

Went to celebrate a birthday so I got to see the birthday boot. It was pretty cool! The wait staff was amazing! We had some appetizers that were delicious.

Me and my father decided to go into New Paltz yesterday and try out Schatzis Pub. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but the inside is what matters, and the inside was nice very cozy. We sat at the bar he ordered the shatzi burger which looked amazing my father said it was one of the best burgers he ever had. I had the steak sandwich and it was excellent, great taste and aroma, was not to chewy, very filling, was a great choice and only 16$ I was very happy about it glad I went back and got pictures this time.

Schatzi’s is always a good choice when you’re in Poughkeepsie. The food is fresh and delicious and they also have a good drink menu. I always end up ordering the shcatzi burger and it does not disappoint.

Wow, we really enjoyed this place. It's German food with an American twist. The food was excellent and between reasonable and pricey. The beer selection was good, our waiter was great. We knew it was a bier garden, but from the street there was little indication that there would be an outdoor area for us to enjoy, we thought we were in the wrong place, but travel through the pub and there you are.

The Food was good and the help was polite and on top of the drinks. The vibe in the Pub was just what you expected of Sunday game day.

We hadn’t been to Shatzi’s for a while but since a beautiful Friday night decided to visit their outdoor beer garden. It took longer to find parking then to get a table, since we were seated right away and service was prompt. Everything we ordered was outstanding! I had the pork carnitas tacos and my significant other had the beef brisket tacos and we shared the sweet beets and greens salad, a generous size dish. So delicious. As usual great beer choices. I can’t wait to go back soon.
