Emerald Isle Bakery and Café

My husband and I ate lunch at this quaint little Vermont cafe' yesterday. It had a very nice homey atmosphere. The owner, Cliff, and his lovely wife were very friendly and hospitable. The cream of asparagus soup and the chili was wonderful and tasted like something that you would eat at a high end restaurant. My husband is a retired chef so he knows something about cooking and he loved the food. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants that Vermont feeling of home. There are no frills and thrills but just good food and nice people.

Came upon this gem by accident. Was close in the area vacationing and looking for a place to get breakfast. Thought it interesting that they had a daily menu of just a few choices (varied options). Ordered the Blueberry Pancakes/bacon and the Maple stuffed French Toast. Both were fabulous. Cooked to order. Brought out steaming hot loaded in real local maple syrup. Owner came out to make sure all was well. Gave us a sample of a cheddar biscuit. Describes how everything made by scratch, likes using as local fresh products. Breads and baked goods looked great. Pricing was extremely reasonable. A must try.

Delicious food!! Very very friendly service. You have to stop here for sure!
