Mike's Music

Great little local store, a much bigger focus on lessons and education than most. Technicians here are solid and can handle 95% of most jobs you can toss their way. They also have quite a bit of very nice PRS guitars here.

Mikes is such a friendly place. They’ve always been so inviting and welcoming. I’ve always felt at home when i’m there. I remember waiting for my lessons on the couches and watching the movies they have on the TVs. The workers there are so caring and they obviously care about what people want. All in all it has always been a great experience for my family and I.

Mike's Music is a magical place. From the moment you enter the building, there is a warmth and kindness that keeps you coming back. I walk in, and there's Hugo, Kyan, and Nick at the front with warm greetings and knowledge to help with any musical obstacle. Then, I take expert piano lessons with Ms. Cynthia Marie, a musician with more than 20 years piano and voice teaching experience, and viola lessons with Peabody Institute doctoral student, Ms. Wesley Hamilton. The owners, Mike and Haley, are so dedicated to your success as a musician. It's like they are caring for a little baby bird. Yes, you are their musical bird! Mike's Music is definitely the place to come if you would like to learn to love and appreciate music. I highly recommend coming here for all of your musical needs.

I also had a double piano lesson with Joseph who is awesome!!
I'm an older, new piano player who just doesn't have time to learn to read music... yet. Joseph was very flexible/relaxed and let me drive the lesson. I asked 'everything' I wanted to know about technique, form, he taught me how to memorize keys notes, etc, etc. He also has a bionic ear ;) and anything I brought up on my phone, he learned in seconds and I learned in a minute or two.

I arrived at Mike's early so I overheard a handful of instructors reviewing their student lessons with the parents and was impressed by the instructors reviews and recommendations.

I would definitely recommend Mike's Music for any instrument lesson. :)

I bought an amp online that was described as sold. Thank you. It is nice to have some picks to go along with my amp. Living in IL it was fast service purchasing a amp from the east coast.

A beautiful family-owned music store that has terrific people, advice and gear. Dealing with Mike on a guitar purchase was a pleasure. He put the right gear into my hands, for the right price. And made it easy every step of the way. A very different experience than the big corporate chains! His staff are helpful, the ones I dealt with are musicians or enthusiasts, and are as happy as you are when you find what you're looking for.

I visited this shop for the first time last week. The store was very clean and organized with a great selection of products. The sales associates were very helpful and friendly as well. I was able to test out the products I was interested in and browse for a little while. A few days later I emailed the shop with some questions, which they responded to very quickly. I was able get the assistance I needed and make my purchase easily through the website. Mikes Music has earned my business for the foreseeable future and I highly recommend them.

They're consistently accommodating and affable. I've never had a negative experience with anyone working here, they're all really nice. I've been taking voice lessons for a few years now, and it's the best place I've ever taken lessons. Even now, when the world is on lockdown, they've been exceedingly helpful and courteous with setting up socially distanced lessons.
