KM Creations Bakery

I had such a great experience with KM Creations for my wedding cake! The cake was absolutely perfect (looks and taste wise) and the customer service was exceptional! I had a specific idea in mind and was doing this somewhat last minute, but Kim still brought my vision to light perfectly. If you are looking for a bakery in Hatteras, or in the Outer Banks period, KM Creations is the way to go!

Kim is one of those rare people who has found her passion, and ran with it. You can absolutely feel the enthusiasm in her voice. Kind, patient, had a bday cake ready in 24 hours!!

I came across this bakery while leaving one of the nearby restaurants and figured I would stop in and grab some dessert to take back to the campground we were staying at on our trip to OBX. The two ladies there were very friendly and they definitely have a passion for sharing their baked goods with others! I got a small homemade cheesecake to share with my family and everyone of us immediately said this was one of the best cheesecakes we've had. We spent a while trying to figure out what the ingredients were because it's so good you can tell there were a lot of flavors added in to make it really tasty. We are coming back to OBX in a few months and plan on stopping in again to try more delicious baked treats! Can't wait to come back and try the cupcakes next!

Stopped in for a sweet treat, I had no idea what I wanted to buy, but it smelled amazing inside. The sweet young lady behind the counter was very helpful & welcoming, she offered several suggestions to satisfy my sweet tooth!! I got the brownie sandwich & it was delicious, just what I wanted! It was so good in fact we went back the next day for more sweet treats, she remembered us from the day before & was very nice & treated us like she knew us for years!! I definitely recommend you stop in for a sweet treat. You will not be disappointed!

KM Creations in Avon NC (in same shopping center as Food Lion) is my new favorite bakery in Hatteras Island! Kim, the owner is one hard working super nice lady who makes the most delicious treats. Her key lime cookies are devine! I bought a bag of White Chocolate Oreo Bark (I think that’s what it was called..) and my family LOVED IT! Her Monkey Bread is amazing! Tried an outstanding Lemon cookie today! 🤤🤤
I ordered a Coconut Cake from KM Creations for a friend of mine’s birthday. Kim knocked it out of the park! This cake was out of this world! She made exactly what we were wanting and exceeded our expectations!
Do not hesitate. Go buy some goodies at KM Creations in Avon!! No matter what you get, it will no doubt be mouth watering yummy and will be treated by friendly people who work there! Thank you Kim!

I purchased custom cupcakes and cake for a company celebration. I also purchased a strawberry birthday cake to celebrate a milestone birthday the same weekend. All tasted wonderful and was just what I was looking for in a custom cake. Dagan and Dori were great! Very helpful and very easy to work with from the time of initial contact to final pickup. I had also purchased some gluten free desserts and they were fantastic as well. Our employees asked for seconds on everything! Highly recommend Island Bakery!

Went looking for all kinds of baked goods. Found them at Island Bakery. All were delicious and fantastic!!! Now my go to place when on Hatteras Island.

We wondered in and had such a warm welcome, we had to come back. Great food, even better people. I will recommend you call ahead.

Amazing cheesecake and cupcakes!
Everything else looked so good as well. The whole store was immaculate and you could see the kitchen was too. The staff were all very sweet,friendly and helpful. We were on vacation and celebrating a birthday so we only went once. We plan on returning to the same beach house next year and will definitely be stocking up on goodies for our stay!!!

I was so impressed by both the exceptional taste and presentation of the vegan cupcakes, and also by the kind and courteous customer service provided by Dagan! Very professional staff and delicious cheesecake. We ordered a pre-made cheesecake for my mom’s birthday and they were able to make it look professional and fancy in ~20 minutes. After making the purchase we tweaked the order on them twice, and they responded very quickly and were very kind about it. Would recommend!!

We stopped here late on a Saturday and bought almost all of what was left. We got chocolate chip cookies, key lime coconut cookies, cookie pudding cups and a small loaf of bread. It was all amazing. Everything was perfectly baked and tasted wonderful. I would highly recommend all of the items but especially the key lime coconut cookies!

The only premium quality food we found during our day in this area. Everything is fresh and authentic. My strawberry cupcake was delicate and delicious. Vegan butter-substitutes are, by now, so delicious I only wish for more vegan bakery options.

I called Island Bakery mid-day to see if I could buy a key lime pie. To my absolute amazement they offered to make one and have it ready in 1.5 hours. This pie, they didn’t know, was to celebrate my step-father’s life (he died one year ago, looooved key lime pie and we were having a very special dinner that night in his honor). Incredible customer service, the pie was absolutely delicious and the kindness was overflowing. I hope everyone comes out to support this gem!

Pastries are wonderful!! Key Lime Cup, lemon raspberry bar and blondie with almond flour were are delicious!!! Lovely service and we will try some of the other desserts and I am sure the will all be awesome as well!

Just stumbled upon Island Bakery by chance as we were sight seeing the light houses on the islands. We got some Blondies and some Coconut Key Lime Crinckle Cookies and the last vanilla cupcake. Everyone loved the cupcake and Blondies and we forgot about the cookies until we got home. We just had the cookies and i'll tell you what...They were the best cookie i have ever eaten. The favor was absolutely wonderful. I hope in our next venture down there, we can get more.
