Revive Coffee

Cute old building in the heart of downtown! Used to be an old drug store. We had a delicious French toast bake. My partner had already dug into it before I could grab a photo of ours specifically. Such a treat!

He had an oat milk cappuccino, I got an oat milk mocha (burnt my tongue but that’s because of the personal cup I brought).

Great third wave space with lots of options for beverages, even if you don’t drink coffee!

Very pleasant vibe here on a weekday morning, and very nice coffee. The house coffee I had to go (I had to get to work) reminded me of the taste of Blue Bottle coffee from the Bay Area, or Temple Roasters from Sacramento. Good stuff.

I also had a brown sugar scone that was quite tasty and not too dry. Another win for my morning :)

The vibe was very nice with most tables taken with people quietly chatting or working on laptops. I could see this place being ideal for college students. I appreciate too that there is a restroom in sight - I did not need it, but if one is drinking good strong coffee for an hour or two while studying or working, biochemistry will see to it that you'll need to pee - it's just part of being human.

Anyway, Revive was a nice find and I plan to be back soon.

Jan. 22, 2024 update: Another nice morning coffee at Revive. This time I had time to sit down and enjoy it on a rainy morning. Personally I love the atmosphere, the interior and the coffee, and a bit of indie music, nice view of a tree covered hill. The interior matches my taste, and reminds me of some of my best coffee shop memories from Northern Europe. If you can't make it to Berlin or Helsinki, the next best thing is Revive on a quiet morning.

Awesome direct trade coffee! The barista Savannah knows how to pour some bomb latte art. My cappuccino was delish! Really love how alt milk is not an extra charge. Beautiful cafe and great vibes all around. Made our stay in Sonora a real treat. The drip coffee was so good to!

By far the best coffee I have had since I been on this earth... I will definitely be stopping back by when we pass through town again.. Stop by and have a look, you'll love it.

I'm so excited that Revive is in downtown Sonora! They have such friendly service, fantastic coffee and drinks that aren't too high in sugar (in fact, if you like it sweet you'll need to ask for our add sugar!) and great food. Don't miss out on this excellent spot for breakfast, lunch, or in between!

A modern version of the cafe... something you would see similar in the Bay area. If you're looking for good quality expresso base drinks, out of all the places I've tried, this would be one of the best here in downtown Sonora. A double expresso was $2.50.
THEIR ROAST level is "medium" to light so you should expect a bit of "acidity" to the flavor. if you prefer the more traditional dark roast then they have filtered coffee as an option.
The only negative I would say is they have a very small choice of pastries in case you feel like adding something sweet.

Loved this place! They had excellent gluten and dairy-free options, and the staff was very accommodating. They opened early, and on a Wednesday when a lot of other businesses were closed! I had the breakfast bowl which was delicious; they had other breakfast options too. Great coffee shop!

It was my daughters birthday and she came all the way from San Diego and all she wanted was a special fancy coffee. She has allergies and hasn't been drinking much coffee, but being her birthday it was a treat. We went in and they were able to accomidate her special diet and made it. Coconut Latte with Oats and spices she picked out, with a foamy top and a fancy beautiful leaf design on top! It brought the biggest smile to her face and was definitely an eye roller of flavor.

We had avocado 🥑 toast, iced americano, lemonade, veggie burrito, and the ranch salad. Service was great, bathroom was so clean, space was bright and pleasant. Kids are already asking to go back/recreate the salad at home. We feel revived! 🤩

Their Brekkie Sandwich is amazing and I love their caramel latte. This local coffee shop puts the big Names to shame!

My love language is coffee! And this place speaks it! I love the background knowledge the barista had on each bag of coffee being sold. Gave me great insight on each bean and even had me sample a batch before I bought my bag. AND it didn’t stop there my brave Cap was insanely amazing! The vibe is so beautiful! Great photo opportunities! We will be back!

Best coffee shop I've been to in many years. All the ladies working were so nice, they make an amazing mocha, and one heck of a croissant!

I am a huge coffee lover and always try local small batch coffee roasters. Recently found Revive here in Sonora and absolutely love their coffee. Bought the Confluence beans for home, and it has become one of my favorites. The Cappuccinos in the coffee shop are for me the best in the area by far.
The place has a cool vibe and people are super nice. Great to hang out a little bit while Indio my coffee. Wish you guys were open longer in the afternoons.

I just recently moved to Sonora from Washington state and, as a former small batch coffee roaster myself and a coffee connoisseur, I have to say this is one of the best places I have ever been to get a latte. I haven’t tried anything else here yet because the lattes are so damn good. I also have to say (unlike some people in the reviews) that I look up to them for not enforcing the mask mandates, for one it’s been scientifically proven that they don’t work and two it’s called freedom of choice. That’s what makes our beautiful country so special. If you don’t like it you can go to Canada. Keep up the good work and keep pumping out those delicious lattes.

My favorite Sonora coffee shop. Ample indoor seating, outdoor options too, strong wifi, delicious coffee always served with a smile. There's a locked trap door in the restroom, and if this joint is anything like most downtown gold country shops, it leads to a mine beneath ... Always so mysterious in the Queen of the Motherlode.

A rustic interior, the walls are cracked concrete and brick.
The coffee is strong but tasty, reminds us of Preservation Coffee in Modesto CA.
