Where to begin? This spot blew my expectations out of the water. My boyfriend and I shared their broccoli and potato soup, with their house made bread.

We also had the infamous roasted eggplants sandwich which melted in your mouth, with the crunch of the bread and the gorgeous San Marzano tomato sauce. Even the salad was perfectly dressed and so fresh.

I had their peach fizz mocktail, fresh peach nectar, raspberry juice, so delicious.

We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone and everyone!

Exactly what we needed before a hike. Good fresh amazing food. Focaccia… amazing. Focaccia with chicken or eggplant… spectacular. Throw in the moz and 🎆. We were skeptical of their coffee, but wow was it good. Usually don’t like flavored coffee drinks but their raspberry oat latte tasted like a dark chocolate raspberry bar. Delicious!

Would also like to thank the store owner (who’s name we forgot to ask and who I think was the store owner) for being so friendly and welcoming. Such a sweet lady who recommended us some beautiful hikes.

It’s often hard to find a good place to eat since there’s only a handful of spots to visit in the area, so if I’m ever around again I’m making a beeline to this cafe.

Absolute perfection! Ordered the latte, butternut soup & the chicken pesto sandwich and I can’t wait to go back! The bread is AMAZING, the soup tasted so fresh ans delicious, and the sandwich was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere of the cafe is so friendly and inviting. The selection of spices and teas was quite extensive and wonderful to have in the area! Such a great new spot and we will be back!

We got their eggplant sandwich, chicken sandwich, ice hibiscus tea, and a blondie to go, and were blown away by how tasty and wholesome everything was. Please do yourself a favor and drop by if you're in the area!

A must go! All of the food is fresh. Butternut squash chili, arugula chickpea salad, chorizo sandwich are very tasty!

What a tiny gem this place is! The sandwiched are excellent and the coffee drinks will knock your socks off. Def off the beaten path which is part of the charm. I had roasted chicken and my hubby the roasted eggplant. Absolutely delicious. We were passing through but if we are ever back again, will def stop in!

I would ignore the Chill Dude review. I personally know who this is. Just a mean spirited miserable unhappy person .This cafe is really great. It is popular with both locals and visitors. There are both vegetarian options (I have had the delicious chickpea sandwich( as well as non vegetarian options. There is a wide selection. of teas, spices and pastries. Prices are very reasonable and you will get good value. The environment is warm abd friendly.
The hosts Christine and Mario are very committed to this cafe and want to ensure that their customers enjoy their food,drinks and experience. Come and check out The Village East for a relaxing and delicious experience-you will not be disappointed .

We got the latte, peach yuzu soda, chicken wings, chicken sandwich and the eggplant sandwich. Everything was amazing! We were visiting the area and one of the servers was so nice and recommended some local areas for us to hike. Would definitely come back the next time we’re in the area.

Everything here is made from scratch by the cook/owner Mario and is top-notch. I go here every chance I get because the food is so good, especially the sandwiches and salads.

Christine, the co-owner, gives excellent service and also curates the store's impressive assortment of dry goods for sale. This place is better than almost any place in the City . . . and the prices are actually reasonable!

Great place to stop in before or after a hike or day on the slopes. The hot chocolate is legendary!

Reasonably priced, solid food, and a very cute store with some specialty sodas and spices. Would return!

First to eat here a few years ago and miss them dearly. The sfogliatelle and coffee for breakfast. The caprese for lunch. Best of fleishmanns & best of the Catskills. Mario is a master bread maker. Chefs kiss

Absolutely amazing!!!! Stopped here today and tried the French dip steak sandwich and the roasted chicken sandwich. Unbelievably tasty and two of the best sandwiches I’ve EVER had- I do not put that lightly. The au jus was so good I could have drank it. Even the salad dressing was delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try more. Do your self a favor and try this place asap.

Only had chai and apple turnover but they were delicious. Nice atmosphere and the owner is really nice.

This place is a true gem - delicious food (great vegan and veggie options) and a really beautiful collection of dried mushrooms and beans available for purchase as well as teas (farewell my paycheck!). The owner and staff are fantastic and the sandwich/soup cannot be beat (so hard to share something so yummy!). Really glad to have you in town.
