Goodwill Store - Hood Drive

The place was clean and very easy to navigate which helped me find the athletic shorts I was seeking. The prices seem pretty reasonable to me despite the reviews but then again people forget how expensive everything generally is nowadays ($4 for shorts is NOT high). The only con was organization of the shoes, so I didn’t even bother. It would be nice to have them in one area sorted by size versus over clothes racks. Personally Savers up in Wdbg was always my favorite but now I’m thinking this place is a hit and much closer to us. I’ll be back soon.

This store is so organized, and I have found the price points to be very fair. I was surprised by the negative reviews, but there are always people wanting something for nothing. This is not your fill a brown bag for one price store. Perhaps the population looking for those price points should frequent garage sales, or the weigh by the pound goodwill outlet across the street.

The savvy, educated and brand aware shopper can appreciate the true gems offered. I have gotten brand labels for 1/3 of retail and yes that includes Gucci . You have to know what you’re looking at to start to appreciate the true value. Bargains come at all different price points ($2.00 - $200.00). Thanks for offering such a wonderful, clean, fresh smelling, highly organized store with clearly a KNOWLEDGEABLE staff that knows how to curate the best goods to offer their customers.

This Goodwill store is very clean and organized. I find good clean quality clothes to browse and choose from. There is no old musty smell in this store. And it was nice to find a lid for the fry pan I had at home. I also have found wonderful holiday items to decorate with. And for those friends who are back into vinyl albums, wow .... what a selection this store has.

This is by far my favorite Goodwill to shop at! It smells and looks so clean, is extremely organized, and all of the clothes are good brands in excellent condition. I can’t wait to go back next week and shop more!

My only complaint is that this store has spoiled me… I hate shopping at other locations because none of them measure up to this one!

The store is very clean and organized I could find my sizes without difficulty.Brittany the manager helped me find what I was looking for every time I ask she is eager to help me it makes it easier to shop at good will. Jordon was very nice and curious when I checked out and very patient with me and I wanted to let the management know that this was one of my best experiences at goodwill I will return and these people that work here made it possible.

New store looks great! Great selection. Staff generally attentive and helpful, Jay and Britney... Jordan was Especially helpful in resolving a concern. She took the time to understand the situation. Jordan exemplifies Excellent Customer Relations and Customer Service skills. Kudos to her and the team!

The best Goodwill in the area! It is always so clean and organized. THIS location is nothing short of amazing with the best selection and best employees. You can tell that all of the employees take pride and their job at this location.

Went to this store earlier today and I will be shopping there again due to the amount of organization and cleanliness they have earned my business and Shana was awesome. She was very kind throughout our whole checkout process. Very good energy

Nice and clean store. Some prices seem high

I love the location, appearance, organization, and cashiers of this store. One negative is the pricing. Even the cashiers are occasionally surprised to see what "the back" has come up with for pricing.

There are good deals to be found, but it's primarily on items that are difficult to identify. I often get the feeling the folks in back are looking up items online and pricing theirs a few dollars lower.
When I buy something online there's effort put in by the seller to clean and test the item. Goodwill is skipping those steps and transferring the risk to the customer as returns are no longer possible.
I know they "test" items, but there's a vast difference between seeing if a panini press gets warm, and if all the inputs and outputs of a stereo receiver work.

Pros: the store is clean and well organized.
Cons: No Name Brand items to be found. More like a Kohls with Walmart Target and Amazon brands.
Pricing is average at best.

Husband and I shopping at this store. Encounter young lady ( white, long dark hair , tag title manager, cashier #1 at 2:45 pm) on Saturday, December 9, 2023). This person should be better schooled in interacting with customers. She was passively aggressive and vocalized crafted responses and descriptions to instigate conflict between herself, customers and between customers. However, very polite in concealing her intentions. Not very helpful other than ringing us up.

This Goodwill will charge you twice for items then refuse to give you money back even if you go back in with your receipt and they acknowledge they charged you twice. Absolutely reprehensible Company policies and service. I left my name and number in the hopes of getting some sort of follow up to resolve the issue but management has not contacted me and their company directory is a mess.

the most expensive goodwill i have ever been to, is honestly an insult. shein brand fast fashion selling for 2x or 3x what it’s sold for online (brand new), yarn basket for $50 that sits for weeks because no one can afford that, same EXACT home items found at the goodwill down the street selling for $5+ more. there is no excuse selling things you got for free for the prices you are. obviously don’t care about the community and those who cannot afford new items.

i’ve been here a few times, thought it was super overpriced but whatever. then i checked the reviews. goodwills response was that they have 50% off specific colors (like every other goodwill? nothing special?) 50% is supposed to make already inexpensive things cheaper for those in need, not to offset your super expensive prices! ridiculous.

Extremely overpriced. This location caters to the upper middle class only. The lower income communities rely on Goodwill to provide clothing for their families, they cannot rely on this store. DC thrift stores are cheaper. So sad to see how greedy this location is.

Store is organized well and employees are nice. However, the prices are outrageous. I found a wallet I had previously wanted from Walmart, however it was too expensive because I am poor. I was excited to find it here, only to find it was even more expensive for a used wallet ($12!). Wayy too much for used items. I can’t wait to see goodwill as a chain go down to the ground with these prices!

Yes, organized & clean. But no public use for restrooms! Just walked out of there and seeing that most clientele were of age they should open their private restrooms for shoppers to have access!
