Duly Noted

Along Georgetown’s commercial Wisconsin Avenue NW is the city’s go-to local paper goods shop. After working in media, the owner achieved his lifelong dream of opening a stationary store. Here’s why you should visit:

1) Goods: Unlike other stores that have a paper section but expand into other home products, Duly Noted doesn’t stray far from their mission. They sell journals, planners, greetings cards, stickers and more. They have a few goods outside of paper products like mugs and a few local food items, but the majority of the store focuses on paper products. A few standouts:

Letterpress cards. The owner sources it from local and regional companies.

Appointed journals. This D.C.-based, woman-owned company uses Duly Noted as a drop location for their custom journals and planners.

2) Price: Compared to other shops, the prices aren’t bad. A quality, local greeting card is around $5.

3) Location: It’s next to a large Compass Coffee and many other shops are nearby along Wisconsin Avenue and M Street NW.

4) Space: It’s in an inviting space and the products are organized well. It’s a full shop but doesn’t feel cluttered or overwhelming.

5) Passion: The owner is passionate about paper goods, attentive and answers any questions you may have.

6) Safety: Masks are required and a small table greets you when you walk in with hand sanitizer and extra masks.

Very sweet and quaint small business. They reached out this year regarding suggestions to what customers may want to see more of. I provided my suggestions--with the sincere hope that they are able to meet the needs of other customers, as I do not want to see them leave the downtown Fredericksburg area.

This is my favorite shop in DTFBX. I’m new to Virginia and every time someone visits, I make sure we stop into Duly Noted. The owner and his adorable beagle are always there to help.
I love the journals and list paper goods but I can’t get enough of the greeting cards. I laugh at almost every one of them.

Duly Noted; located in downtown Fredericksburg is such a cute store with greeting cards, planners, gifts, pens and everything in between to meet all your paper good needs! My kids and I stopped by and really fell in love with this shop. Super friendly and knowledgeable owner and staff. Wonderful journals, notebooks, cards, pens, and other great things - like beautiful permanent coffee cups. The kind of local shop that deserves attention and support. Seems like a great place for birthday gifts.

I love this store! I'm in DC every couple weeks, and every time I'm there I make sure to stop by. The store is super cute and filled with a bunch of great things you never knew you needed. Looking forward to seeing what new things are available in a couple weeks!

Duly Noted is my new favorite paper goods store! I get all of my greeting cards here and have even found a few birthday gifts. The owners and staff are so friendly and create a fun experience while in the store.

I wandered in here a few days ago and loved it! Beautifully organized and a great selection of stationery, office accessories, gifts, and more! I will definitely be back to purchase things for myself and gifts for friends.

I wandered in here on Black Friday, and even though it was super busy, the folks working in the shop managed to greet everyone who came in and were just so kind. I found really nice cards, too!
