This was a wonderful experience we came here on 4th of July and they reenacted the reading of the Declaration of independence. People were dressed up from the early 1700s and they reenacted shooting from a Canon which was memorable. The volunteers who dressed up talked about the history and we're very nice. The place was clean and presentable there were bathrooms on site and it was very knowledgeable the place very recommended

They do tours for $5. We were there for the Craft Fair. Free parking, free admission. And lots of vendors! Some were woodworkers, candlemakers, quilters, organic / health food sellers. And they were back to back and spread out all the way from down to the main house, up and around the barn and out to the road on both sides. I did miss they're Chinese auction. That was always fun. They had some rain to contend with but for the most part, good days, good food, good time. Lots of family fun.

I love Fort Klock! The guides are very knowledgeable, the setup is perfect, and an extensive tour of the Fort, Schoolhouse, and Smithy is only $5! They have lots of events during the summer and fall where reenactors demonstrate colonial life. And the annual craft fair is the beeeeest!

Absolutely fantastic staff, very knowledgeable and friendly. I was fortunate to meet most of the team and was immediately welcomed and felt at home. I really loved teaching there and would recommend anyone who is interested in history to visit A+++

Another original home of early German settlers in the region that was later fortified as a "fort" and safe house. Built in 1750 the stone house has musket loopholes in the wall that allowed the defender to sight and shoot at enemy troops. The battle of Klocks field during the Revolution was fought just to the west of the house.

The home is beautiful with the interior full of amazing timepiece period artifacts. There is natural spring in the basement which fed the house clean water at all times. Be sure to take the tour as you see all kinds of neat things like the dog treadmill upstairs. There is also a one room schoolhouse and blacksmith shop on site.

My family of four visited on Saturday at 10AM. Our tour guide, Les, was so knowledgeable about the Klock family, the grounds, local history and even his own family history. We spent two hours with him and could have spent the day. He is truly walking, talking history. A great place for a picnic lunch.

Living history! Great re-enactments! Lovely grounds. Well kept and lots of information onsite. Kids and adults alike will love it here. Great picnic area and live demonstrations. Also celebrates St. Nicholas Day annually with a live St. Nick and storyteller. Gifts for children and photo-ops! I say 5-stars well deserved here!

Wow. What a great place. mid-18th century farmstead, fortified during the American Revolution and the site of an important battle during that war. Fully restored stone house with a period kitchen and barns on a lovely site.

A fantastic family fort along the Mohawk. You can see the loop holes in the walls where they held off attacks. Beautiful grounds, blacksmith shop and school.
