What a fantastic wonderful cafe! Great homey atmosphere, wonderful service, absolutely wonderful food & great coffee! The owner, Toni, is such a sweet & friendly lady. So enjoyed chatting with her! Oh - did I rave about their carrot cake!! The BEST I have ever had!! It’s all made with fresh ingredients and hand grated carrots!! So glad we ventured in today! Such a memorable dining experience! I was hesitant at first but my mom got me to go and it's a lovely little tucked away cage that needs more recognition. I ordered the Americna with a twist and the poached eggs, bacon, and potato croquettes were amazing and it comes with a free sid of your choice of Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, cottage cheese, or a parfait. The food is very light and easy on the stomach and was absolutely amazing. They also have a nice little story on the back of the menu detailing their heritage and how they came to find the store. All in all a very nice little place with rustic decor and great food I will definitely be coming back!

Locally owned GEM!! My mom ordered the smoked salmon baguette and I had the Portobello Mushroom sandwich with a delectable parmesan basil aïoli. Both were toasted and seasoned to perfection. Portions were seamless. Atmosphere was vibrant with eastern European melodies. Lots of love went into the decor. The chef personally came out to tables to ask how we were. Did I mention that the carrot cake was heavenly? Best I ever had. Sever was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive and friendly. My mom is a local and she was excited to take me here. Highly recommend! Truly one of a kind. Thank you!

This little cafe serves mostly dishes from Croatia and Slovenia, but has other choices as well. We had a traditional sampler of Croatian sausages, along with cheese, salad, bread and relish. All was delicious! We also had a slice of delicious apple strudel and took home a few slices of Potica, a Slovenian nut roll, ro enjoy for breakfast. The atmosphere was very Eastern European and very "homey." The service was excellent, as we were able to chat with our server as well as the owner, Toni. A lively afternoon!

Friendly owner and waiter, food was amazing. It is like transporting out of small town USA to Europe. Drinks, dessert, salads and meals were all fresh.

Our food was delicious, I had the chicken salad on ciabatta Very, moist, tender and flavorful chunks of chicken with celery, diced apple and cranberries in a light creamy dressing sandwiched on a yeasty, chewy ciabatta roll. I also had a side of potato salad. Very tasty! My husband had the blood sausage with red potatoes and halushki and really enjoyed it. Our son opted for a gound pork and beef sausage that came with slices or toasted baguette and cheese with horseradish and a side of potato salad, that was very satisfying. Our server, Dave, was friendly, funny and very accommodating and helpful. He's a keeper!. The place has limited seating, and a pleasant, quiet, bright atmosphere. We will definitely be back. Next time, dessert! Thanks, Dave, for taking good care of us!

The resturant has a great atmosphere, sprinkled with heritage and local decor. The wait staff was clean, well dressed and friendly. The food was terrific. Well blended flavors inthat no single ingredient was overly dominant. I enjoyed my expirience and highly reccomended utilizing this establishment as much as you are able.

I eat here often where it's dine-in on the weekends or carry-out on my lunch break and the never disappoint! The food is amazing and the service is always fast and friendly. I recommend this place to pretty much everyone I talk to. It's amazing and I hope they're here for a very long time!

First TASTY visit to the Good Morning Good Day Cafe in Streator. So many delicious entrees to choose from as well as yummy desserts. I will be back!

This restaurant is an awesome experience. The food is freshly prepared when ordered. I had the Pork Schnitzel with potatoes and bacon and it was delicious and seasoned perfectly! For dessert, I had the Carrot Cake and it was the best I've ever had: moist, delicious, with nuts chopped just the right size, and the frosting was perfect! My cousins, who treated me to lunch, had the Apple Strudel and it was amazing! The history of the restaurant is wonderful and much of the decor has direct ties to Streator. The serving dishes and glassware, acquired by the owner, were made in Streator at the Glass Factory, which I truly appreciated. My maternal family were from Streator and one of my Grandfathers was a glassblower at the bottle factory, so this was significant for me. I am not a fan of chain restaurants, and Good Morning Good Day proves why I'm not. I highly recommend it for the delicious food, excellent Service and wonderful atmosphere. I loved everything about my experience, and I look forward to my next visit.

Absolutely fantastic. This will be my new favorite cafe in Streator. Georgia was my waitress and I couldn’t have asked for a more hospitable individual. This place deserves so much more recognition. I had the coffee, green tea, fruit pecan and goat cheese crepes and my husband had the chorizo strudel and we were both blown away.

Fabulous food and service in a surprisingly elegant old world atmosphere in downtown Streator, IL. Don’t miss this cozy cafe with freshly prepared food and great service. You will love the menu, and don’t forget dessert!

Went and had the Americana with a Twist. It was delicious! I am all about potatoes and the potato croquettes were perfection!
Additionally, the service was great. Atmosphere is so comfortable. I wish them much success!

This is a must stop place to eat and enjoy breakfast or lunch with friends. Toni has created a welcoming, homey spot on main Street in Streator that pay homage to her Slovenian and Croatian roots with delicious food and decor that make you want to keep coming back.

Food is delicious. Different from usual restaurant food. Highly recommended
