Lighthouse Café

On our last day in California, we decided to travel to quaint Sausalito for breakfast and a stroll along the seashore. Researching best places to eat, this cafe came up online. We’re glad we stopped. While we’ve noticed that most of the restaurants in this area are small, the Lighthouse Cafe made up for its size with their delicious food and great service! The staff is very attentive, immediately seating you, serving your beverage and taking your order. We sat at the breakfast bar and watched the food preparation in action. Hats off to the chef’s!! So organized and very well prepared. Thank you for an excellent breakfast and service! When in Sausalito, check out this place.

Perfect breakfast place! Delicious pancakes 🥞 I got mix berries (banana, raspberry, blueberries), husband took Alex’s Corned Beef Hash Special and that was great too. Coffee also is good 👍🏻 definitely come back soon

The lighthouse cafe is my little slice of New Jersey in the Bay Area. This diner-style (mostly breakfast joint) is my all time favorite place to go on my own or with friends and family. Honestly, this place means the world to me and although my life has demanded that I move away from the Bay Area, I always make a trip back to beautiful Sausalito for bottomless coffee, an authentic atmosphere, and delicious breakfast. You should go here, and definitely get a pancake on the side.

About the Breakfast Place:
This breakfast spot turned out to be the highlight of my time in SFO. Nestled in the charming town of Sausalito, it offered the best breakfast experience I've had. Situated by the bay, the breathtaking views added an extra layer of delight. However, it's worth noting that finding parking was a bit of a challenge, with paid on-street options.

About the Food:
The quality of the food lived up to the stunning setting. The eggs with veggies and rye bread created a harmonious blend of flavors that pleased my taste buds. The French toast was equally delightful, a testament to the care taken in crafting the dishes. The egg omelette, accompanied by spicy sausages, was a masterpiece of cooking perfection.

The overall experience at this breakfast place was nothing short of outstanding. With its picturesque location and delectable dishes, a five-star rating is truly well-deserved.

One of the best hot chocolates 😍 highly recommend.

Spanish omelette was great we added chicken with house fries. House fries were well seasoned and delicious! More than enough for 2 so the quantity is good!

My wife and I walked from the ferry to this cafe. It was a beautiful walk and the breakfast at the end was wonderful. I had the Bagel and Lox and my wife had the ultimate Breakfast Both were great! Go check it out if in the area but expect a wait.

Every time we visit San Francisco, we reserve a day to come to Sausalito and have breakfast at Lighthouse Cafè ☕.
This time, I got the Phili cheese steak sandwich and it was really good 👍 😋. Employees are always very friendly and attentive.
Since it's a small place, there is only one restroom 🚻 so it took forever when it came to taking my toddler to use it.
I definitely recommend this place.

Love the small diner atmosphere. I ordered the veggie scramble with hash browns and rye toast and my friend ordered the Norwegian salmon eggs Benedict and it was absolutely fresh and great tasting.

By far one of the best places I've ever eaten. The cooks work hard and make amazing food the staff are all friendly. You get your food quick too. We were traveling from southern Oregon and found this cute little spot and we will definitely be coming back to it anytime we head that direction

My wife and I were visiting from Utah and wanted to find a small local restaurant for breakfast. We stumbled upon the Lighthouse Café and we were so glad that we did!

The staff were quiet and friendly and they served us extremely fast! I ordered the Ultimate Breakfast and absolutely loved it! The fruit pancake was not stingy, boasting strawberries, bananas, AND blueberries! It was full of fresh fruit flavor and the pancake itself was cooked just right!

I also got eggs (over-medium), sourdough toast (delicious), sausage links, and hash browns. Every last bite was delicious! What a wonderful find in a beautiful area!

Well advised by the server to try the chicken sausages. I was so impressed by the hard working chefs who flipped frying eggs like an omelette without breaking them!
Everything was tasty, coffee kept coming. Saw several other tasty looking dishes being made in front of me.

Filled up quickly as limited seating. Get there before the rush like I did.

We ate breakfast there this morning. Delicious! My husband had hash, my son a ham and cheese omelet and I had the andouille scramble. The service was outstanding. We were just passing through, but if anyone is in Sausalito definitely try The Lighthouse Coffee Shop.

Iconic Restaurant with, in my opinion, the absolute best breakfast.

Cuuute! This place is small inside so be prepared to wait for a table. The portions are good. Mid priced, but reasonable. Cute decor and tasty pancakes!!!

A true classic ....Gourmet Danish-Mexican Diner !! Food is always fantastic, service is great. A great place to go after a nice hike above. Muir Woods. 🌞👍

First visit was a few years back and really enjoyed it then, so on a return trip to Sausalito couldn't miss trying again. Didn't disappoint, if you want REAL Sausalito then drop in here..

My first traditional diner experience in america and I absolutely loved it. From the ambience to the service & the delicious food. I had a delicious blue berry pancake with cream which I can highly recommend. Will definitely return when back in Sausalito!

Had breakfast here Saturday and Sunday - excellent both days. There can be a queue, but as a solo diner the staff routed me quite quickly to a place at the counter.

I recommend the San Francisco or Norwegian Benedict

I loved this place. Slight wait on a Saturday morning but it was well worth it. I lowkey got the whole “Waffle House” cooking vibes, but the chefs were moving. We sat at the bar, and felt the hustle and bustle of orders and cooking. The waitresses were also nice. Highly recommended.

Alex's corned beef hash is very good and spicy. Have had breakfast here before and they never disappoint. Need to get there early, as they only seat about 20 people. I'd recommend this place for breakfast!!🤙☕🍳🥘🥞🥯🌤😎🇺🇲
