Brian's the best. Knowledgeable and very helpful. The road bike I rented for the day was a dream to ride: very smooth shifting, lightweight, good brakes. The routes in the area are just gorgeous (and vertically challenging for an east coaster like me). I will be renting from Russian River Cycle again the next time I'm in northern California.

This place is the best! Brian and his wife hooked us up with bikes, even though we were last minute on a holiday. They were super attentive and made sure we were squared away, everything fit, etc. Some amazing bikes and amazing stories in this shop too! Can't wait to come back.

We love renting from Russian River Cycles every time we come to the Russian River. Brian is a delight, always friendly & helpful, and he rents the VERY BEST super light-weight Marin trail bikes. (I liked it so much, I bought a Marin when I got home--but it wasn't as good as the high-end trail bikes that Brian rents.) I highly, highly recommend the gorgeous 9 mile ride (18 mi roundtrip) from Forestville to Sebastopol--a beautiful, not-too-strenuous ride, with great food & wine at The Barlow (a very large open market) in Sebastopol. So much breathtaking beauty in this part of the world! Rent from Brian and have him guide you to the best trails!! See you next time, Brian, and thanks!

I really LOVE this bike shop! Brian has ALWAYS gone out of his way to be polite, kind and best of all professional when it comes to either selling or servicing the awesome bicycle that I bought from him!

Best bike shop in Sonoma County. The owner is an awesome guy and an incredible mechanic. The best in the business.

There are a lot of bicycle shops in Sonoma County supporting the avid cycling community. Russian River Cycle Service is one of the best. The owner, Brian, is extremely knowledgeable and has built many bikes from scratch, including welding the base frameset. This is not your average bike mechanic. I've taken two bikes in with weird mechanical problems and he solved both issues. Brian is friendly and 110% professional. I love this shop.

Great bike shop in Forestville. Conveniently located near the bike path too! Been going here since Brian first opened. Excellent mechanic, knowledgeable about anything bike related and always has great local route suggestions.

Brian fixed up my old garage klunker in first rate. Next day service. Called me to check about additional services he saw needed after he got into it. Came in at his estimated price. Bike works beautifully now. A great bike shop.

We rented several bikes and went to Sebastopol. The owner tested all the bikes and recommended a nice trail through the wineries. Had a great time.

Great place that I strongly recommend and where I wouldn't hesitate going again. Very conveniently located right by the West county trail where you can bike through wine country right down to Sebastopol with vineyards along the way. Both the owners (husband/wife) were very friendly and helpful, giving us local directions and tips. We were equipped with recent, well-maintained rental bikes along with pumps, baskets and with the extra thought of giving us a spare tube in case of a flat. A great small local family business like they all should be!!

Great bike shop, ma and pa shop with great service. Will not rip you off and try to sell you a brand new bike. Very honest and impressive small business owner. Also he is quick at turning around bikes and an excellent old school mechanic.

The shop owner was friendly and knowledgeable about local bike trails and wineries where we could stop for tastings. The rental bikes were high quality and in great shape! Easy on online reservation system. Highly recommend!

The owner found a bike that was perfect for me! I told him what I needed it for and he gave me his full attention and he was able to find me a bike that was perfect . I really appreciate how welcoming and respectful the owner was towards my needs and concerns. Wonderful shop and service!

I attended my friend's wedding celebration in Guerneville, CA, having made the trip from Ohio. California is a beautiful place, much more than the bustling metropolises and beach life. Our group rented bikes, for those who could not bring their own, and rode around the area, enjoying the Redwoods, sights, and smells on a cool Saturday morning.

Our Marin 21-speed bikes (pre-arranged) were delivered promptly at 9AM and we found them in outstanding condition, configured for our heights. They came with baskets, helmets, lock, and some friendly suggestions on where to go, what to see, and how best to enjoy our ride. The very reasonable rate, free delivery, and friendliness of the staff (I forget her name, sorry, there was a wedding party later that night and some things are hazy) made their service outstanding in my opinion. I highly recommend River Riders bike rentals.

Brain is very friendly and knowledgable. He was able to fix our flats and shifter in no time at all and had us back on the road, 30 minutes tops. I endorse using his shop every time!

Brian fixed up a broken shift cable in a hot minute and then proceeded to give us great advice on local routes. Stop in for a repair or a rental, pick up a map, and ask him about his favorite rides. You won't be disappointed.

Owner is super helpful (knowledgeable and skilled) and nice. His son was working on his bike there too and he clearly didn't fall far from the tree.
