Focus on the Family Bookstore

The Focus on the Family Welcome Center was truly a highlight of our family vacation. We have 3 children ranging from 7 to 1, and they all loved it. The welcome center is entirely free and a fun place for children to run around and explore. Dining at Whit's end was affordable and kid friendly. We intended on staying for an hour or two based on what we had been told, but ended up being there for about 6 hours!

Growing up listening to adventures in Odyssey and visiting when I was younger it was only highlighted even more by taking my kiddos to experience fun and the truths that focus on the family as continue to proclaim over the years. Definitely ain't worth a visit if you're in the area! The staff and the facility is clean and fun and you have to try the slide!!! 😄

I absolutely loved this place♡ the staff we're soo nice, the place was so much fun for all ages. My teenage children even had a good time. They have a 3 story slide which was a huge hit to my younger kids, and even me!!! they have a couple different scavenger hunts which we all enjoyed!! I won no matter what my husband tries to say.
They have a small playground and a little restaurant with a bunch of goodies!! We were there for a couple hours we didn't even realize we were there so long!!!

So neat for the kids they loved it! It is a chirstian place but the play area isn't throw it in your face which is nice, the playground and kids areas are free too!!

The library and play areas are fantastic. There's a Cafe or ice cream parlor inside as well so you don't necessarily have to pack lunches or snacks. It's definitely a keeper.

Amazing store and perfect for the kids under 10. It reminds me a little of Disneyland, plenty to do for the kids. Admission was free but we’ll leave a nice donation. There’s also 2 story tube slide for the kids (totally safe and monitored by attendants at the top and bottom.

Lots of fun activities for the kids. Also, the food court is great with reasonable prices and gluten free options.

This is one of the best family center you can find in America. It features so many things in the welcome center including 3 story enclosed slide for kids AND adult under 5'4"ft. , very good price family friendly dining ( with fresh ice cream sundae and milkshake. SO GOOD!!!!) Scavenger hunt for kids with prize.

It got a large book store and few large and small theater and more... All these are free entrance fee.

If you are in Colorado springs with your family I strongly recommend you to go check it out!

I was a kid when I first got introduced to Focus on the Family. On my way down to Alamosa, Colorado, I was driving down the highway when I saw the exit sign for Focus. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, and the store was fully stocked with treasures.

Been here a couple of times and although it hasn't changed since...it was still fun to visit. Between the cheap lunch, the 3 story slide, and the scavenger hunt, plus many other activities...this is a great place to let your Littles run around and explore. The views from the bookstore just top it off. God has blessed this place for you to enjoy so go do it already!

Great family friendly place to visit. As super fans of Adventures in Odyssey, our kids especially enjoyed the kids section - Whits End for delicious treats, the scavenger hunt, exploring the playground area, the recording studio, and we also enjoyed the movie about the mission of Focus in the Family. The giant slide was the kids favorites. All the staff was super friendly and helpful.

What a wonderful place. It’s staffed and maintained very well. Even if you don’t follow Adventures In Odyssey, its magical. The three story slide is the highlight for my kids,
and the bookstore is the highlight for me.

So awesome! Feel confident and proud to bring my kids to this Christian fun play place. Clean nice people. Fun big slide for kids, and activities and really artistic things to look at every corner. The ice cream is fun to add toppings and yummy. I would say the thing that bothers me is I’ve seen some people leave their trash like water bottles and the papers for the scavenger hunt but overall it is really clean. It shows the people who manage this facility really care.

Wonderful place. Great staff. Kids had a blast! You can schedule making your own mini episode with your kids. Really fun. Great bookstore selection too.

A great big Christian books store! Comprehensive collections of books, audio and video pertaining to all things biblical. The whole family found plenty of delightful materials to peruse.

Good selection of gift ideas, books, family resources and friendly staff. Neat place to take the family! Be sure to check out Whits End in the basement.

Really fun place to visit and we enjoyed a delicious peach milkshake at Whit's End Soda Shoppe.

Three of our kiddos, ages 6, 8 and 10 had TONS of fun! We got ice cream from Whit's End, did a scavenger hunt, but I think the favorite thing was the long curly slide. They loved that! The bookstore was impressive as well, but the prices seemed a bit high.

This place is so fun! Kiddos loved everything and us parents enjoyed seeing everything as we had listened to adventures in odyssey growing up!
