Sacred Grounds Coffee House

My family and I have been visiting Chautauqua Lake for decades and enjoy boating, shopping, restaurants, etc. I've wanted to visit Lily Dale for years, and heard it had an interesting history and similar architecture to the Institution. To settle my decision to finally visit I saw a new coffee place had opened on the grounds, and I love trying independent and unique shops. After going on a Saturday morning this past August to explore LiLy Dale, I stopped by Sacred Grounds to grab a drink before walking around.

The coffee shop is conveniently located in the center of the community in what looks like it used to be a large house/B&B, now painted into a vibrant blue, green, and white with a large front porch and outdoor seating. Stepping through the door brought you through a couple of rooms and right up to the counter. Colorful, handwritten signs displayed a decent selection of drinks and food. Since mochas are my thing I decided to try that as my first drink, and it didn't disappoint. Next time I'll look forward to trying a different drink and some of the food. I saw a selection of cookies, muffins, cakes, and buns that looked good.

The shop seemed to take up much of the first floor, with multiple rooms to spread out in if you wan to find a quiet space to yourself. Each room is well decorated with tables, chairs, and couches. Plenty to hold your interest with some plants, books, and cozy and witchy vibes. The walls have interesting art, some with shots of Lily Dale or funny ones with ghosts. Shelves had a variety of items to buy, like crystals, gems, tarot cards, postcards, games, etc. I bought a black mug featuring the shop’s logo, and a small Smithsonite tower that looked nice. I know the first year can be challenging for a lot of new businesses so I wanted to show my appreciation for the enjoyable experience, this honestly just might be one of my favorite independent coffee shops and of of the best I visited in 2023. I LOVE so much about this beautiful coffee shop! Not only is it nestled in the magical little land of Lily Dale, but its fun and welcoming vibe is what makes it so special. The food and beverages are fabulous, the service is wonderful, and the owners are super fun, creative, friendly, and welcoming to everyone. The owners have really put so much thought into making it a relaxing, inspiring, and creative environment. They even have puzzles, paints, adult/kid coloring books etc that are available for anyone to use while they're enjoying their coffee / meal. The porch is also the perfect spot to sit back and relax. I highly recommend Sacred Grounds!

Stacey and Michelle are the best coffee shop owners! The attention to detail can’t be matched. The essence of Lily Dale is on every single wall. The coffee is gourmet and the food is delicious! Great atmosphere to meet new friends! I go here at least once a week and you should too!💜

Literally the best place in Lily Dale - the coffee is D-Lish cute deserts with gluten free options - yummy food - with a Practical Magic vibe - 🔮☕ greeted with smiles and a how are you. Lots of gifts and interesting treasures to see as well. Will be back. Ps. My lightly sweetened Mina with foam was so delicious, thank you!

A lovely and genuinely welcoming place to be met with a warm smile and a bright and cheery atmosphere. The breakfast quiche was very tasty and the menu of drinks is exhaustive. Feels like the embodiment of the gentle, loving energy of Lily Dale, offering both nourishment for the heart and well as the belly. A great place to start your day! It even opens before the morning meditation at the Healing Temple, so you could do both. ;) Some retail therapy is also available.

Excellent place. Ambient and energetic.
Clean. Hygienic. Food is delicious.
Friendly staff. Owners are on location and are great. Give it a try when you are in the area.

One of the BEST nourishment spots in Lily Dale, New York.

The best place to eat, gather, and share your day in Lily Dale! The food is simply amazing. The atmosphere is charming. The GF Almond cake is the best ever! Loved the yogurt parfait.

Of the different coffee shop renditions in this spot over the last 20 years, Sacred Grounds is by far my favorite. Stacy and Michelle provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere with delicious- and healthy(!)- food and drink options. The dried cherry chicken salad is a stand out yummy lunch/dinner option that you can feel good about eating, too. Really well done, ladies~

This has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Western NY. I live outside of Pittsburgh and drive regularly through that area. I stop every single opportunity that I can. Amazing location, great food and fantastic drinks. If you were to ask me what makes this business so very special, my answer would be the owners and employees who make you feel welcome every time you walk in the door. You won't be sorry for stopping in!

After spending a few days in Lily Dale I can say I happily ate most of my meals at Sacred Grounds and each one was more delicious than the last. The ladies who own it and their staff are wonderful and accommodating and their meals, treats, and drinks are not to be missed when you are in the Dale. Coffee, quiche, gluten free treats, hummus platter, sandwiches - you name it, it’s great. Thanks for making the Lily Dale experience delicious! (And thanks for letting us stay late on your porch!)

Sacred grounds has an amazing atmosphere with friendly staff, wide variety of gifts, scrumptious breakfast, lunch, dinner options, snacks and gluten free options! They also have yummy beverages, and ample seating. Hands down my new favorite place in Lily Dale!! My favorite drink is the Sir Arthur Latte, Chicken Salad and Lavender cookies - a must try!!!

Truly a special place!! Wonderful selection of coffees and other drinks and a delightful menu of savory dishes and pastries, muffins, cookies etc. I had the vegetarian quiche one visit, and a berry muffin the next — both delicious! And what a terrific vibe!! Beautifully decorated inside and out, warm and inviting atmosphere and positive energy - this lovely new cafe is a gem.

I used to own Lucy’s Coffee Shop, the previous incarnation at 6 Cleveland Ave and I just have to say how happy I am that these ladies are here! The interior is beautiful, the coffee delicious, and I cannot wait to try their lunch items! Of course the atmosphere is always cheerful and welcoming, too! Best of luck on this new journey!!! ❤❤❤

This is such an amazing place!! The staff is so friendly and the food and drinks are delicious! Loved sitting on the porch and just having some amazing conversations with people. Can't wait to go back next year!
