McDonald's

This was the most inspiring fast food experience in my 39 years of life ! I want to thank the entire staff & especially Elissa for being human . I have a long story but I will save that for another day . I was out of money . As I tried to purchase a 10 piece nugget combo meal for my 4 & 11 year old sons my debit card says it only covered $1.36 of the total . So I pulled out my wallet & realize I only had $7 cash but the balance due was $9.56 . I asked Elissa to cancel my order so I could go try to find $2 in change in the car . She responded don’t worry about it . I said what do you mean I cannot pay the total . She proceeds to walk in the back & comes back with her clutch removing her debit card inserting it into the machine saying don’t worry about it you are ok . I was so in shock & disbelief I had a moment of speechlessness. I tried to give her the $7 cash I had but she would not take it . Then a customer named Albert gives my son a bag of food that has 7 cheeseburgers in it & a large fry . I was so grateful for these kind souls . In the deepest time of need that they knew nothing about they were the kindest people in the world . We need more Elissa’s & Alberts in this world period . This was probably one of the best McDonald's we have ever visited.
The service was terrific, the place was clean,and the food was hot and some of the best tasting we have had ever!

I know all McDonald's food is the same. But everything at this place tasted so much better than any that I've visited before. Everything seemed exceptionally fresh and was piping hot. Kudos to the crew at this location

We stopped in for some take out on a Saturday when everyone was leaving the island. It was packed and we were afraid we’d be waiting awhile, but with no exaggeration, we got our food and coffee within one minute of ordering on the kiosk. The workers were also super kind and helpful. A shockingly positive experience!

Nice place to stop and eat quick very busy but it was clean and people were friendly. You don’t find many McDonald’s along the way like this.

Got a Grimace milkshake for the grandkids. They were happy. Fish Filet combo was good especially the hot french fries and Hi C orange drink

Kind gentleman there working was awesome made me laugh at the drive thru. Food was good for being late at night.

We were on a long drive needed a quick meal, and this McDonald's was able to perform quickly and efficiently. Unlike the Hardee's down the street.

This McDonald's is always awesome. Every time we go here they always get the order right. The staff is always very friendly. I know if I stop here it will be a great experience. 👍

Great customer service. Despite being a large crew with a big order, the cashier was friendly and patient. For the first time ever, we received an order without any mistakes and she even apologized for the wait which was not long at all.

I am not a fast food fan and rarely eat it, but when I do am picky and observant. This crew is super efficient and food delivered as ordered which is amazing with my special requests. Our wait time was next to none, but we chose to walk in vs waiting in the drive through line

A bit of a line, but the busiest day of the week and they actually banged out the orders! Can't even be upset, there was a gazillion customers. And my family's order was executed without error and the staff was very courteous.

I'm updating my review because since my last review, they have improved tremendously! And they have been seeving frappes after 6pm! I'm giving 5 stars for just that alone but service has also improved alot

Clean and nicely kept McDonald's!

Ever since this location was built it has become my favorite MC D's pretty much out of any other location. We pulled up at drive thru and didn't take longer than 25 seconds for the drive thru employee helped us. I always come back to this location for a few reasons but a main reason is that the food has always been fresh and hot when we receive our order. In the summer at certain times it can be downright PACKED with tourists and yet every visit (even when tourists are everywhere) is basically a promise of a fresh, hot, delicious, " Quarter and Fish with French fries" which is to say a few quarter pounders with cheese, fish filets, and French fries. We love the employee's they make it fun and I do so love their lingo for the items they sell. We will 100 percent return when we are ready for McDonald's again to this very location even though it's a little further of a drive than the other one in this county. Thank you all you hardworking employee's for not disappointing hungry"locals" and for always being on point with the food right on with the wonderful attitudes, smiles, and all around welcoming and pleasant atmosphere that y'all are obviously responsible for. 5 stars 10 if it were possible. Great specials they run keep us coming back as well I almost forgot to mention!!! See you again you have definitely acquired long term customers. Keep up great work We REALLY REALLY appreciate you and all your hard work.

April 26,2021, the young man at the drive thru was so King and full of smiles! That's so rare these days! My first time going here, and I was impressed! Hot fries! Hot burger, darn good service! Thank you!
A few days later, I came by again. Food was great service was ok. Find out who was working the night of the 26th and have him train the others! And I don't eat fast food! Well, I didn't use too! 😮 This is the only McDonald's I will go to other than the one in Manteo, NC. No other fast food in this body!

Typical McDonald's, staff was friendly food was prepared prompt as expected. No complaints.

Opens at 5 AM so this is a perfect place to stop for coffee, breakfast, etc upon departure of the Outer Banks. Get across the Wright Memorial Bridge first to beat any traffic, then this McDonald's provides a nice location to stop.

Service was prompt, efficient, and orders were accurate. This is a recently updated McDonald's. It is clean, bright, and fresh.

Place is super busy because it’s first McDonald’s from vacationers leaving OBX. Very busy but staff did a great job keeping orders coming and food was fresh.
