The prime was PERFECT! Just melted in the mouth and amazing flavor!
We ALWAYS get the walleye bites to start....sooooo good.... and the tartar sauce(homemade) is to die for!
Pictured with the prime was a special..... the shrimp was THE BEST I've ever had, did the spicy and it was just the right amount of heat.
Everyone is super nice and will go the extra mile.
Bring the kiddos, or sneak away for adult time, either way you'll be having a fun time and amazing food!!

If you are traveling to Itasca State Park, this is the place to stop for lunch or dinner! You get the lodge look with a five star restaurant. The prime rib was done to perfection. Chicken Alfredo with homemade sauce was very good, salad was crisp and cold, and top it with bread pudding for dessert made by the owner. Our server, Victoria was attentive, efficient with "up north" charm. The bathrooms were spotless. And the dining attendant that was sweeping the floor was very pleasant. What's not to like?

When you see the Hubbard County sheriff deputies and MN highway patrol dining here, it's a good indication that this is the place to eat!

Amazing! The food & service were outstanding 👌 we were very impressed with the service inspite of it being very busy when we arrived. The veggie burger was amazing, and on one of the best gluten-free buns I've ever had! The walleye & other appetizers were also some of the best. Truly a hidden gem. Amazing staff & owner. 10 out of 10.

Hands down some of the best food in the North... The walleye, the prime rib, the sandwiches and wraps are all amazing. A little ways to get there but most definitely worth it.

Great food amazing people!! This is our go to place for the best food and company in the entire area. We love the personal service and friendliness of the owners and all the folks working there. The smoked prime rib is so delicious and they have quality steaks and know exactly how to cook them. They have added for-sale now to make them a 1 stop on our way through. They have direct access on Hwy 71 with plenty of parking for trailers and on the trail for a great stop with a snowmobile or atv.

First time here. The food was amazing. I had the Northwoods sandwich. The bread was fresh and flavorful and exceeded my expectations. Was not shy on prime rib and the horseradish sauce was enough to give you that fix without overwhelming. I had tomato basil soup as my side and I'd go back for that alone. Highly recommend.

I had the French Dip sandwich and chocolate cake (with cream cheese icing), and both were delicious! My family liked their grilled cheese and Buffalo Chicken wrap a lot, too. In addition to the great food, the service is friendly and welcoming.

What a wonderful place! I visit Lake George frequently so it is nice to have a restaurant nearby. The service here is great, the food is well portioned, fairly priced, and very tasty and the service is fantastic. If you are in the area I highly recommend you stop in for a bite or drink! You wont be disappointed!

It was our first time. Very busy. Gals were keeping up. Didn't get refills, but will not prevent us from returning. The food was great. Good atmosphere. Easy access if you are visiting or staying in Itasca state park.

It's been two years since I was able to come eat here and they are still amazing. They're famous for the Northwoods sandwich, but their Texas prime rib sandwich is a contender and I was very happy with my chicken with cranberry aioli sandwich. But best of all is their Italian prime rib soup. I could eat it once a day instead of just once a year!

Excellent food! Best choice in the area! If you like beef than their choice of prime rib sandwiches / dinner is the answer. Excellent deserts as well.

Great place to grab a bite to eat. The burgers are juicy and cooked perfectly every time. I've always experienced great service here as well. As a bonus the snowmobile trail between Itastca State Park and Lake George is right out front. If visiting the area, I strongly recommend Knob and Kettle.

The food was impressive. The most notable was the bread pudding. They had a sign noting it as Minnesota's best and I would go back there to eat it again.

Their Texas steak Sandwich is the best meal you'll find in, Minnesota. Dessert is better than mom made.

It was a very busy place on a Friday night and it took us a long time to get our food, but the wait was worth it! The manager (or owner?) checked in with us several times to make sure they hadn’t forgotten about us and or food was being prepared. They were very proud of the their house made batter recipe.

Fried walleye bites and walleye sandwich were absolutely first-tier delicious. Totally worth the drive and the wait.

Spicy prime beef sandwich was extremely yummy but didn’t have as much heat as advertised.

Southwest chicken wrap was good. But the fries were even better!

Fried pickles were deep fried spears instead of discs, which was odd for us but good.

Bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers were delicious, but again very mild spice-wise.

Highly recommend!

We absolutely love this place! The staff is super friendly, the food is incredible, and the atmosphere is relaxed and fun. They have a pool table, jukebox, darts, some arcade games. Highlights of the menu include THE best smoked prime rib for their prime rib dinner specials and their prime rib sandwiches. Everything is home made and delicious from apps to desserts. Don't miss! First time here and the people were friendly and made you feel welcome. The food was great. We tried samples of the soups and they were all great. The sandwiches we had were so good. We also had a special of the day a chicken mac and cheese that was the best I have ever had. So add this as a must stop on your list.
