El Sombrero

It was lunch time and I wanted enchiladas while going on a long road trip. I did the Google for best enchiladas and found this place. They were good, but I was not expecting the spicy red sauce. Nonetheless the meal was good. The taco shell seemed stale. I loved all the smiles on the stafs faces. I definitely recommend this place.

We stopped by from Albuquerque on our way to Cleveland to pick up some tacos 🌮 for my aunt's birthday 🎂. They were good and the people taking our order that Sunday morning were very friendly. Loved it!

Visiting from Albuquerque & stopped here and ordered the beef tacos. The salsa was Fire, very good & loved the Spanish rice and beans. Very good, highly recommend.

It's home food to us. Chilli always the best over potatoes and eggs fried over easy.
Just like grandma Celia it's home to us.

This was our first visit here and we enjoyed it! The complimentary chips and salsa were delicious. We had super helpful wait staff that were patient with us as we scoured the menu. I ordered a taco plate that came accompanied with beans and rice. My sister ordered a red chile Mexican hamburger. We both loved our food and were pleased overall with service. Also the night view out the back windows was lovely to watch while we dined.

Great customer service, hot salsa and friendly atmosphere. A must visit with indoor dining during this Covid time. They also maintain a contact sheet as well as take temperatures.

Very good food. Always eat there when in Santa Fe. Soup, salad and a good pasta meal. Staff is very polite. To bad we don't have one in las vegas nm. Will be a customer as long as it stays the same never change.

Wonderful, authentic, family owned restaurant. Highly recommend the stuffed sopapillas - taste like my grandmother's!

We are looking for a location to have a meal following my father-in-laws funeral this summer. Very surprised at how good the food is! Helen, the owner, is there 5 days a week and oversees everything. Will definitely go back.

When I visited El Sombrero for breakfast I was greeted by friendly staff, and brought a fresh cup of coffee. The menu leans toward the New Mexican/Southwest cuisine so I decided to order the carne adovada due to the the warning for being spicy (I love spicy food) with a side of hash browns so that I still felt like I was having breakfast. Service was quick and the food was nicely steaming when brought to the table. Presentation was not exactly the most pretty, however the food tasted quite delicious. Will try again sometime to try some of the other menu items.

Their frito pies are amazing. Amazing service. I always stop when I’m in town.

I had the BEST bean & chicharron burrito here! Sad to say I had NEVER eaten here and I was born and raised in Vegas. The many meals I missed. If you are celiac, or gluten sensitive, the refried beans have flour as well as both chiles. The wait staff is hit and miss with this knowledge.

So happy for full service, indoor dining again! The food is delicious and portions are generous. You get spoiled by the staff who are kind and pleasant. Please support this marvelous community fixture, they do their part to care for All of Vegas, not just their customers ❤

Traveling, passing through and craved Mexican food and this place has good tasty food and I usually judge a place by the chili and the chili on my homemade enchiladas was hot. I love finding gems like this restaurant when I travel. 👍🏻 I recommend this restaurant to eat at with friendly people and staff.

Underated for sure! Food was amazing! I ordered a cheese sandwich with ham and was impressed by how good it was, ham was thick, fries were homemade and everyone i came loved their food, it was very close to aunthentic Mexican food! Highly recommend it.

The only place I'll eat in Vegas. There's all the rest and then the best El Sombrero

We drove through Las Vegas, NM on our way back from taking our son to college. We decided to stop here for breakfast and was so glad we did, the staff was super nice and the food was great. The only problem I have with this restaurant is that it's not in Phoenix, I'm waiting for a reason to drive through New Mexico again

Nice sun room friendly staff. Food is tasty.
UPDATE: The taco plate is delicious and try their award winning salsa! Just like homemade!

Great place. Only complaint... Sopapillas we're not fresh. They tasted like they were a day old.
