Heidi's Ugly Cakes is a hidden gem! The Reuben sandwiches are stacked high with delicious corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on perfectly toasted rye bread. And don't even get me started on the peanut butter pie—it's a slice of heaven! The best part? When I mentioned my mom had been wanting to try the place for ages, they surprised her with a free slice of their amazing carrot cake. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is cozy, and the food is simply outstanding. We'll definitely be back!

Oh, and here's an extra treat—on Saturdays, I believe she said they have a special deal where you can buy one whole pie and get the second one for half off when you order ahead. What a fantastic deal for such delicious pies! Heidi's Ugly Cakes just keeps getting better and better.

Heidi's Ugly Cakes is a charming small cafe with a make-yourself-at-home atmosphere. We had the Reuben with a side of potato salad and the Wilbur with chips, both of which were served on jalapeno cornbread with a pickle on the side. Our sandwiches were delicious! The Wilbur was loaded with flavor from the fried ham, bacon, grilled onions, and spicy mustard. The owner, Heidi, was busy making her homemade fried pies and couldn't have been nicer! The peanut butter pie was amazing, and we took some fried pies to go. What a find!

Great food, friendly service and sandwich was wonderful! But the blueberry perfection was beyond delicious! And the cinnamon roll was the best ever!!!!

This is a little gem of a place. We stopped in for lunch and the sandwiches are amazing. The cinnamon rolls and cakes were devine. I would definitely stop here again!

The fried bologna & Reuben sandwiches were fantastic; just look at the thickness of the bologna. Heidi makes it anyway you like it, and for me it was worth cheddar tomatoes & pickles-YUM! The Reuben was great to, with all that gooey cheese!

There bakery is great as well! We tried the homemade cinnamon rolls, the blueberry pie, the 🍌 creme & the chocolate chip cookies. By the way, Heidi's also has sugar-free desserts! Amazing!

If you go down to Norfork/Mountain Home to go fishing, visiting Heidi's will make your trip. Highly recommended for lunch & dessert. A Military/Veteran's discount is also available.

We visited Heidi's before Thanksgiving. Ordered a Reuben and one other sandwich. Amazing service; aka they treated our baby lovingly. Not something we've experienced in Colorado where we just moved from. By the way, the potato salad is amazing!!

I noticed the awesome ladies who prepared my food wearing gloves.
(I always worry when places handle your food and not sanitizing in between handling money etc). Positive attitudes and homey environment is the best. Bathroom is very clean ;)

Without a doubt the best Ruben I have ever had.
You won't have room for desert, but you will eat a fried pie or an ugly cake anyway.
They are that good.

It was great. Food was fabulous! And the 2 ladies working there were a blast. They were working fast and furious, but still having a good time.

Worth driving an hour to have a Reuben when needed. Tater salad is very good too. They have many, many good desserts as well.

A friend and I were out on a weekend getaway and was just passing by, but OMG, this place is amazing!!!! Everyone in there were return customers and had nothing but great things to say about the food and people there. I didn’t get a picture of the cake piece I bought but is was deeeelicious!! So let me finish with this….. I liked this place so much that I would take a drive there just to have this meal again and I’m from Oklahoma.

Excellent place and it is the best. The desserts are just such a quality and scream local Arkansas home made food. You can feel the quality and love. You have to try the Reuben as I believe it is one of the best you can get especially in the south. As well dessert side you have to try the choc peanut butter pie and holy cow as unique ones and they are cool cream pies, you have to try them before you even think about them. The potato salad is some of the best I have had, and it is a no mayo/low mayo one with little to none so give it a try especially if you do not like mayo! Overall great place with friendly staff and great food!

Every bite of everything was a uh-huh moment. By far the best of everything I've had since living here. Whatever you order you will love. The owner and staff are awesome! We will definitely be back.

Stopped and picked up some pies. The peach was good but the apple was amazing! Great lil lunch place and very friendly!

First time visit, and it’s already a favorite!! Awesome sandwiches, and even better cakes! Great, fun atmosphere, and incredible service!

Multiple visits, multiple lunches and desserts. All outstanding! Friendly owner and service. It is a must go! BTW many of the desserts are BOGO on Satudays..so on Satudays take the scenic drive and ENJOY!

This place is my new favorite! Everything is excellent!!!! When I'm traveling through I'll definitely be eating here! Best turkey Reuben I've ever eaten! Fabulous 'ugly' cakes too. I'd give it a 10 out of 5 if I could.

Very quaint establishment! Amazing sandwiches. I had the Reuben with potato salad. (Never been a potato salad fan, but this one changed my mind. It was gone before I even picked up the sandwich!) My husband had the fried bologna which consisted of a thick slab of meat, not the skinny Oscar Mayer slices we’re all used to.
We also got 3 ugly cakes, one Oreo cheesecake, one banana pudding cake and one white chocolate holly cow cake. They were all worth the carb comma that followed.
We will be going back tomorrow (12/16) for the sandwich of the week, a mushroom and Swiss concoction.

Absolutely amazing food. Wonderful sandwiches, burgers, etc. Awesome home baked sweets. One of my favorite places to eat in Arkansas.

Had a bacon cheeseburger (actually a big hamburger patty), my wife had the hot turkey & cheese sandwich & we had a cinnamon roll & chocolate fried pie & all I can say is "HOLY COW THAT'S GOOD FOOD"
