Freres Building Supply is a great company to work with. I have worked closely with Jake G. on several projects ranging from replacing front doors to most recently a windows and siding project. He ensures my contractors have all the materials they need, delivers timely, and works quickly to rectify any issues that come up. He responds quickly to any questions I have about my projects and offers recommendations and insight. Jake is someone who cares about his customers and the experience they have with Freres Buiding Supply. I highly recommend this company and will continue to utilize them for future projects.

Great place!!! Disappointed I did not find them sooner. Forget big box stores, literally almost half the price on the wood I got, which was very nice 1x8x8' pine. Better wood and much cheaper. Yes, please. The staff was kind and very efficient. New extremely happy customer here. Thanks again!!!

From day one Bill has been very helpful friendly and on point. My build has been a great experience on ordering my lumber package through Freres Lumber,Thanks Bill making it all possible to stay on schedule with my framers.

Great places (Stayton S 1st and Wilco rd, Sublimity, Jefferson (dunno)). Good helpful staff; *exceptionally* good helpful knowledgeable staff at the Sublimity location. They sell better proper stuff than 'big box' economy price low quality stuff -- but you save $ overall buying here. And they can usually get whatever obscure thing you need. If large/heavy quantity, ask for free delivery. Can haggle some. Is an "I'm taking this - just bill me" kind of small town place.

Homeowner/DIYer here needing to build a 70 SF shed in my side yard. I pulled together rough shop drawings and material take-off for what I envisioned, and visited Freres Building Supply in Stayton. Though I've been there many times, I met Delano "D" for the 1st time at the counter. He jumped into my project right away, grasped my concept, gave me suggestions, pruned my MTO, then kept it a few days to verify quantities, further tune, then reviewed it in person with me before I placed my order. I don't feel I could get that degree of professional advice, coaching and STRESS RELIEF at any Big-Box, plus, the Freres family/companies have been so generous to my small town, both before and after the fire of 2020, that it's nice to support them in return, even with my modest project. Additionally, Kevin the delivery driver was very accommodating about where I wanted materials placed and how I wanted them oriented....in a very tight spot!
A pleasant experience the whole way...now I just have to get to work.

If you want good quality lumber, this is the place to go. They are locally owned & reasonably prices.
Buy the wrong thing? No problem. They will take returns too.
The staff are extremely knowledgeable & helpful.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The cashier to the loding dock staff. Every time a staff member walked by they asked me if I had been helped, very polite people and even though my order was a small one they still made me feel important enough that my order mattered just as much as the big orders. Ohh and very competitive pricing.

I had the opportunity to work with Jake and I will recommend him and Freres to anyone looking to build a pole barn. Jake went above and beyond in several situations to help me get the project completed. I haven't had customer service like this in a very long time!

Is always my go-to place for Lumber & Hardware. Everybody I have ever dealt with who works there is very friendly helpful and knowledgeable about the items they handle. They also are happy to special order products for you with very little hassle.

3/4 inch plywood 56 bucks a sheet great quality and much better price then big stores in Salem by 20 bucks or more a sheet

I have worked with Eric numerous times for a few years. I am from Washington and I make the trip down because they have excellent prices on round stock material and always very friendly and accommodating.

Freres has always had what was needed. Jake is doing a great job with the store!

Lots of building supplies that the big box stores don't have!! 6x6 beams, black torx bit screws. Friendly staff and knowledgeable.

Great customer service and quality building materials! My go to lumberyard for my building projects!
