Just like the real mexican restaurants back in Chicago! That is saying a lot, too. Not to many restaurants get a good review out of me down here, but Dona Chuys gets high marks. Its not haute cuisine, but it is authentic mexican comidas. We'll come here everytime I have to go to Batesville.

Me and my husband have been coming here for a while and always get something different or one of our favorites. Most definitely would recommend the sopes, pozole, gorditas, tacos, or caldo de res. We also get dorilocos or mangonadas.

They always give me a very weird look and laugh a lot but I still like the food. They have stuff there I haven't seen other places... They say they have checked cashing but out of the 4 times I've gone in to cash a check they wouldn't do it for different reasons every time. Parking is really bad n it's not handicap accessible. Prices are fairish...

Nice store. Moved here from AZ and have been missing authentic Mexican food. This place hits the nail on the head with the food, and the store front has many things (ingredients, candies, snacks) that are hard to find. I'm glad I found this store, definitely a hidden gem.

Hercules, Hercules! Finally a place that makes authentic Mexican food. Had the 3 taco combo with 2 Carne aside and 1 Pollo taco, rice and beans. Really good sauces...green and red, flavorful with a good kick. This is the first Mexican meal where I have left satisfied. I will return.

This place is awesome! The papusas and tacos are incredible. The corn tortillas are home made and you can taste the difference. Go here now!
