James O. Davis, IV, M.D.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Dr. Davis has been my #1 Psychiatric referral for clients and family alike since he began his practice. (I do not make referrals unless it is a medical professional I would choose for my family!) He is amazingly perceptive, incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and caring. He has helped me be a better therapist, and has made life-changing differences for my clients. I would give him 10 stars if that had been an option!

Dr. Davis is the only psychiatrist that has ever cared about me. I haven’t been to his office for 10 years now due to financial struggles. He was the only one who listened and tried to help me deal with my severe anxiety levels. I’ve never found another doctor like him. I feel so lost without him. I wish I could go back. It’s been 10 years of nothing but depression and untreated anxiety. I haven’t lived. I am already dead inside because of the lack of care that physicians give these days. Everyday I suffer. He was the only one. So lost without him.

Dr. Davis is excellent.

No problem with the doctor. The receptionist told me that the cost was only $30. I explained to her that I have a high deductible and asked how much I was going to be billed later. She assured me that the bill was only going to be $30 and I wouldn’t be billed later. Sure enough I got a bill for $145 later. I called and they told me they were going to do a review. Two months later I getting late notices in the mail and today they say it’s still under review and I should contact my insurance to see why my bill is so high. I told them that I shouldn’t have to call and get an explanation on why my bill is so high. They should have told me the right price. If I had known that a 30 min visit would cost me $175 with insurance I wouldn’t have used their services!!!!! Do not go here they will rip you off!

He spent approximately an hour with a patient. We believe he did not diagnose appropriately. We think that he did not review the information sent to him via his website under 'comments'. We think if he had reviewed the information, the diagnosis may have been much different and the patient on the road to wellness. Now we are struggling with the patient to see another psychiatrist for a second opinion.
