Penny’s Place

Wednesday's Fried Chicken was hot and melted in your mouth. The white beans were just like my country Grandma used to make them, delicious! I will definitely go back for more at Penny's Place. Service was friendly and very attentive to all my needs. I drove 30 minutes to try this restaurant because I heard great things about it, they were right. 10 out of 10 experience. The only issue was the inside seating is your typical older restaurant atmosphere, it could use some updating. I will definitely return to try the Tuesday Pork Chops and the Friday Fried Fish.

My family and I broke down in Newport so we visited Pennys Place on more than one occasion. All of the waitresses are extremely kind and the customer service was great. You can tell they do care about their customers and their regulars. The food was really good too! We got a bacon cheeseburger and a breakfast plate. Will definitely make the stop in Newport to come have breakfast again!

Excellent service, friendly atmosphere, and the food was delicious. I had an omelet, with a side of grits and coffee. Zero complaints. Will definitely be back.

Great southern style cooking. I really enjoyed the meat loaf, but my colleagues said the chicken fried steak was good. The veggies had lots of animal fats for flavor (butter and bacon).

Twice now. Buffet both times. Good home cooked. So much better than fast food. If you dont eat hear support a mom and pop somewhere

We LOVE Penny's Place!!! Mondays on the buffet are a family favorite!! Made from scratch dumplings, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and all the extras!! Best home cooking around!

All employees there are really nice and sweet. The food is also very good. Chicken and Dumplings are my favorite on the menu.

They had fried chicken that was a good as any I have ever tried anywhere. A nice meal with good service. I recommend!

Good service with a smile and a good menu. If you like good diner food at a good price with friendly service then this is the perfect place for you. It's clean and the staff are attentive and food is good.

Awesome food, service and atmosphere! Management and waitresses are on their toes going from table to table to see if everything is okay or if you need anything!

Pennys place is our family fav! We had to move out of state but my kids have said there needs to be a pennys in every town!!

I always enjoy their lunch items. Friendly place with good food.
