Hickory Bar BQ

My dad and I stopped by and we are glad we did. Steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious.

Update, I just tried the porksteak and it was great. Homemade yeast rolls too. Consistently puts out fresh, flavorful food.

Surprisingly good food, being fairly new to the Pocahontas Arkansas area I am just trying out different restaurants and I was pleasantly surprised with the Catfish plate and the BBQ Salad. The server was informative on the menu and very nice checking on us often.

I'm here from out of town and tried hickory bbq. I ordered to go over the phone. My food was amazing. I ordered brisket, baked potato and okra. If you don't try them you are missing out. Brisket was the most tender I have ever had and the smoke was perfect. I am so full I cannot finish but will save for lunch tomorrow. Price was reasonable. Go here and get fat and sassy y'all. Thank you for the good food.

This is a roll up your sleeves, no nonsense put on a bib eatery. In a word fabulous… the brisket was smoked to perfection ..ie…meat-butter that melts in your mouth. Next time I pass through Pocahontas this is my go to place.

It was really slow and a bit outdated, but the service and food was very good. Got the BBQ Pork plate with slaw and fried okra. Excellent!

It's a great place to eat. I love the bar b que salads an sandwiches. They always know just how to make mine. Lol I dont ever have to wait to long at all. Very friendly. 🙂

Excellent food. Excellent prices. Ordered take out so I cant comment on the wait staff but I was very pleased as i am from out of town. Sweet tea could be a little sweeter though.

The ribs were tender and perfect no sauce needed for me. Service was amazing! Thank you Erica for making our first of many visits great!🖤

They have a nice menu variety with very fair prices for the type of cuisine - catfish and barbecue. The wait staff is not only very friendly but also very efficient. They have a nice, clean dining area with a small town cafe feel. The food is cooked to order with very reasonable wait times and comes out fresh. It is common of BBQ places to serve meat that is dry or overcooked, but at Hickory Bar BQ, that is simply not so.

I had previously worked there, & they were awesome back then. And even after leaving the company, I eat there I'd say, at least once, sometimes twice a week on my lunch breaks. So fast. So delicious. So comfortable. GREAT BBQ, & EVEN GREATER SERVICE! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS.

Stopped overnight coming from Chicago and ordered from Hickory BBQ. Had the brisket, full slab, green beans, mashed potatoes and fried okra. All was AMAZING! Kiddo had BLT and fries said was delish!!! Only disappointment was did not provide silverware and mashed potatoes were in definite need of butter and salt...however those were very minor. The brisket was melt in your mouth. Sauce was perfect. We got ribs with no sauce and the meat fell off the bone. Would go out of my way to come here again!

We got a carryout order, and we were very pleased. The portion size and taste were well worth the money. The lady who took our order and brought it to us was very nice.

Ive gotten pickup here often. Always clean and food comes in a timely manner - I usually get rack of ribs and never bought a bad one from there.

Delicious pulled pork, coleslaw, crinkle cut fries, and fried okra. Fast friendly service.

My BBQ sandwich was great. The sauce was tasty and my potato salad was good. Staff was great even though they were busy on a Saturday evening.

Took my Mother there for Mother's day the food was great my steak was cooked to perfection. Service was a little slow because they were real busy 👍👍

Great service, good food, good prices. I live in Texas. But when i go see family up there. I make it a point to stop in and eat.

Best ribeye I've ever had. The owner really knows how to cook a steak to perfection.
