This is a beautiful state park. One of my favorite hikes that I’ve ever been on. I absolutely recommend coming here, the waterfalls are stunning and so peaceful to listen to. Make sure to hike the devils den trail to see some beautiful waterfalls! Be careful if you have kids hiking with you though as there were definitely some parts of the trail that could be dangerous if you aren’t careful. There is no cell phone service here and I really enjoyed being able to disconnect from reality for a while. I would love to come back here to camp one day.

Wonderful well-appointed full service cabins. (We were supposed to camp but switched due to weather. Glad we did because campsites looked too close together)
Beautiful well-marked hikes, helpful staff, and nice refreshing pool for the humid day. Fun places to explore but try to explore popular hikes on weekdays (red/Devils Den trail was packed on Saturday so we were glad to head to another part of the park). Watch out as Lee Creek trail truly comes back through creek and is slick in parts.

We love this place! Beautiful scenery. The waterfall is our favorite. Fun trails. We always grill and picnic when we're here. We haven't used the pool yet, but it looks great too! So much fun!

It's been quite a long time since I've gone back and it's still amazing to enjoy this park. Trails are very clearly marked and kept clean, so there is not any confusion on where to go.
I was bummed to learn the caves have been closed, but understand it's for the health and safety of the bats.
There are a few full service cabins that allow dogs and they even provide a mat with food and water bowls!
Weather it's a day trip or you are looking to stay for a few days. There are plenty of trails to hike and nature to see!

This is an incredible state park. We stayed in our travel trailer for a long weekend. Fantastic grounds, very well maintained. The hiking and scenery was the best we have experienced in this part of the country. Full hookups for our RV and good space between campsites made things even better.

Devil's Den State Park: Where Ozark Magic Untangles Your Soul (5 stars)

Nestled in the emerald embrace of the Ozarks, Devil's Den State Park isn't just a nature escape – it's a playground for adventure, a canvas for wonder, and a balm for the weary soul. My recent getaway with friends and family unveiled a tapestry of experiences so rich, I'm still lost in their echo.

The many times that we have been were woven with the thread of exhilarating hikes. We conquered the Devil's Den Trail, its limestone bluffs whispering secrets of ancient waters. We glided through sun-dappled forests on the Fern Trail, our senses lulled by the symphony of rustling leaves. And for the adrenaline junkies, the Monument Trail's rocky switchbacks offered a heart-pounding dance with gravity.

But Devil's Den isn't just about trails. Deep within the earth, Whispering Caverns held us spellbound with its cathedral-like chambers and dripping crystals. We emerged, blinking in the sunlight, only to be enchanted by the cascading beauty of Hawksbill Falls, its icy mist painting rainbows on the air.

Yet, this park's magic extends beyond the spectacular. It's in the crackling warmth of campfire stories shared beneath a star-strewn sky. It's in the lazy dips in Lake Devil, laughter echoing across the water. It's in the quiet moments spent watching fireflies paint the twilight with their ephemeral glow.

Devil's Den caters to every spirit. Families frolic in the pool, couples steal romantic moments on the scenic overlooks, and solo adventurers find solace in the whispering wilderness. The park offers cozy cabins for a rustic retreat, spacious campsites for stargazing adventures, and even horseback riding for those who want to explore on four hooves.

Leaving Devil's Den was bittersweet. But as I drove away, a sense of peace lingered. This park wasn't just a collection of trails and falls, it was an experience – a reminder that magic lives in the quiet whispers of nature, waiting to be discovered by those who seek it. If you're searching for a place to reconnect with yourself and the world around you, look no further than Devil's Den. It'll untangle your worries, rekindle your wonder, and leave you breathless with its Ozark magic.

This was a beautiful hike. We did the Devil’s den 1.5 mile moderate hike (part of the trail is along bluff edges and part was pretty slippery). Very green. Very humid when we went.

Beautiful.
Some great hikes with choices of distance between very short and very long.
It is.... popular.... in places so be warned that there are a lot of PEOPLE on some of the shorter easier trails.

Rocky, decent elevations and awesome views. It was VERY dry but I imagine when the creeks and waterfalls are flowing its even better.

Gorgeous park with tons of options in terms of hiking trails and places to explore. We stayed in a camper cabin and loved it! It was the perfect size and have everything we needed.

Beautiful park in the middle of nature in NW Arkansas. Great trails, specially the Yellow Rock Trail, with a wonderful lookout. Lots os history from the CCC, including cabins that blend in with nature.
Great mountain bike trails as well. Be prepared to disconnect as there is no cell phone service.

So much to see and experience in close proximity in this park. Devil's Den Trail is full of interesting and beautiful creeks, waterfalls, caves, crags, huge rocks and moss. Lots of fun for kids and adults with an adventure spirit! We tent camped in Feb at site 1 which has a more open, yet secluded feel than other sites but no trees for hammocking immediately at the site. We used the trees across the road to hang ours. Water spigot was a few sites away. Best part was this site is right next to the creek so it lulled us to sleep every night. Decent bathroom with soap and showers. Pictures don't do this place justice. You must experience it. 💚

My wife and I loved the yellow rock lookout trail. It gets the blood pumping but isn't terribly demanding. It's pretty short, but just long enough to feel like you've really gotten into the wild a bit. We'll be back to explore the other trails!

Beautiful hiking. Well kept campgrounds. Nice cabins pool is a good size, café serves standard American fair.
The park rangers are the best! Very knowledgeable and helpful.
This is a great place for an afternoon or a family vacation.

Full hookups sure make life easier! Stayed on site 73. It was good, but I don't really know what some of the designers are thinking with where they put stuff. Clean park. Zero cell service, but you can buy a little package of wifi. It's not awesome, but gets the job done. We had some surges with our power. Would not recommend plugging in without an RV surge protector at that box. Be prepared for wildlife. We had a skunk sneak up to our steps in the dark. Also an armadillo digging for food in the middle of the day. Spacious sites with full hookup is everything. The road to get there is a disaster, so take it slow. Overall, it's a really good place to camp.

Great hiking spot or even good for scenic date. We picked the devils den trail itself and loved the views without endangering ourselves as we are not professional hikers. Definitely worth the drive !
