The fall color was good. High time to visit there. Easy hike and easy to navigate. The driving road was awesome.

Absolutely beautiful overlook. The trail is well maintained and wide. The path is easy to navigate and fun to traverse. You will be able to bring the family, but of course keep your kiddos close at the lookout! You will greatly enjoy this trail.

Excellent trail that captures a lot of the beauty of the park! While hiking it, you’ll go by cliffs, plenty of scenic views, streams, and rock formations. It’s a nice way to spend a morning or afternoon, and the trail is well marked while also holding true to the topography. Definitely worth the hike!

Love this trail. Well maintained. Relatively easy 3 mile loop(ish) trail. Good views, especially in the Fall when the leaves are turning. Worth the trip!

Awesome overlook. Trail is pretty easy but there are several rock steps. Make sure you follow the white blazes but there are 2 trailheads so check the map to be sure you come out at the right one. They r about 2 miles apart via highway. No guardrails so watch the kiddos. 😀

Worth the hike. One of the best lookout spots in nwa. Got a chance to watch a black vulture

Great quick hike. If you hit the trail at first light, you can catch an amazing sunrise.

Very COOL trail. Shaded yet moderately rocky and scenic even on the hike up the mountain. The little dens were cool because cold air was blowing out from deep in the rock. Not a difficult hike but one of the more enjoyable hikes I’ve ever done in Arkansas.

2.2 miles over gravel and rock, moderate elevation, great views and good signage so you don’t get lost, the loop took us about 1.5 hours

The trail can be as long as 3 miles. We were close to the sunset so we chose to hike to the yellowstone peak and come back from the same route.

Type: Day hike Difficulty: Moderate Distance: 3mi
About 2 hours to complete.
On this National Recreation Trail, users will hike 300 feet in elevation to one of the best views in the park. Atop the Yellow Rock is an unobstructed view of the Lee Creek valley. Along the rest of the trail users enjoy cedar glades, interesting rock formations, and the first structure built in the park.
There is also a trailhead at the top of the mountain.

Beautiful scenic trail that has a gorgeous outlook. The signs for this trail and other trails are clearly marked and easy to read. The signs look to be newer, a few years old.

There were others on the trail and at the outlook but it wasn't bad at all.

This fall, my daughter and I trekked up this fairly short, easy, uphill trail to the most amazing views! We couldn’t get enough of the vistas from several areas to stop along this trail. The parking was easy, right at the base of the trail with a large marker at the beginning, with a pretty view of the river in front of the parking area. There are many other trails in the area with views of the natural beauty of the woods and hills, but don’t miss this one, because it was the best view by far. It is a popular spot, so go early if you can, before the crowds arrive, especially if you want to take pictures. Easy access, paved roads to get there, and beautiful views along the way, return trips through all the seasons will be a sure thing for us!

Great hike!! Highly recommend. The views were far and the crowd was light. The trail was rugged but very manageable. Keep an eye on the kiddos in a few areas near a drop-off.
