The entire trail is 3 miles but we hiked in/out to Yellow Rock Overlook since it was starting to get dark. It wasn't peak foliage (mainly yellows) but it was getting there. There are some steep parts but it's very doable, even with pets and kids. A pleasant hike overall. We need to make a return trip to see the other trails at Devil's Den State Park.

Beautiful views, on a comfortable 2 mile hike. I highly recommend it for families. I will definitely go back. Some areas we explored had limited parking, but we were there on a beautiful Saturday, so it was popular.

The Yellow Rock Trail in the autumn is great for an hour or two hike. The photos do not do it justice.

It was my first time on this trail and I am glad I had hiking shoes because the trail is a mix of rocks (a lot of rocks from small to large) and dirt over semi-rough terrain.

The change in elevation was moderate, and there were many people with kids and dogs. All were incredibly pleasant.

Yellow Rock is one of our favorite quick hikes in NWA. About a 3 mile round trip, it takes just a few hours to enjoy it. There is a large drop off from the overlook, so recommend leashes for dogs and keep your young kids close. Best views are early in the morning especially with some light fog.

You will want to wear good hiking shoes, bring water bottle, and a snack or two. We made it fun for the kids by collecting fall leaves, acorns, and rocks. You could do a scavenger hunt too!

This is an easy hike. Yellow Rock feels like an easier going sister of Hawksbill Crag. Both places have panoramic views, though view here is a little bit less dramatic. Both places are beautiful.

What a magnificent place....so much to take in that is absolutely no way this trip could be enjoyed in a single day. I highly suggest camping and hiking the trail over the days that follow.😁

Easy trail, nice views. This tail took less than 2 hours to the view and back to our car. To the view it was about 45 minutes and back was about 25/30 minutes. Low risk, high reward trail. As someone who doesn't necessarily enjoy hiking, I enjoyed this trail very much. The pictures that came from this hike were also amazing

A very nice view from the top. The fall color is mesmerism. The driving road is full of color. It was a very small and easy hike.

Great views! Snap some pictures, enjoy a nice hike in the woods. We started at the ccc overlook and did the entire hiking circle back.

I love this trail! We hike it often with friends and family along with the trail leading to the Devil's Icebox across the bridge from this trails entrance. The overlook is a beautiful sight and, while it's not the safest thing nor is it *technically* allowed, if you've never hiked this trail after dark and laid on the overlook to watch the stars, you are severely missing out! It's beautiful up there!

Great hike. Surprisingly it isn’t that hard (in terms of vertical climbing) to get to the overlook. Take plenty of water in the summer though. You can climb straight up and back or take the loop. The loop is a little farther, but it is a nice trail. You can also access it from multiple points, down below by the river or up top by the road.

This amazing place is tucked away just south of Fayetteville. It was a great experience at Devil's Den State Park walking the trails, seeing the historical markers, embracing the pure majesty of what it is.

I would highly recommend visiting this place. All staff and park rangers were very friendly and welcoming. They have almost anything and everything you, your significant other, or your family would expect from a park like this. From camping to a swimming pool. Trails for hiking, biking, horse back. Dogs are welcome as well.

A few pointers though. If it has rained within the days prior, be aware of your footwear choices. The park is quite popular, so parking will be one of the biggest obstacles you will come across. So I suggest arriving early. If you decide to bring your dog, be aware that there will be lots of kids who will want be in your puppers face. Especially if your pup is as big as a "horse".

A really nice quick hike. Perfect for dogs of any age and nice shady spots for sitting. Not as buggy as I expected, and the trail is well maintained.

This place is little work, high reward. You only have to walk uphill for 30 minutes to get to the overlook and the(no joke)mind blowing view. This is a great place to go if you're short on time and want to do a quick, easy hike.

Great overlook and a relatively easy hike if you start at the bottom. There is access from the top that skips 90% of the hike but most people hike up from the bottom. I've brought a lot of people visiting from out of town here and they've all loved the view.

I absolutely love this overlook (and trail). The hike up is pretty moderate. Nothing major just a normal incline and some unsteady walking spots. But overall, an easy hike up. On the way up, you pass under some rock wall overhangs and even a cave. It’s a pretty fun experience to walk by. There’s also some sneak previews of the views through the trail as you start to get higher.

The overlook is gorgeous with plenty of walking room to enjoy. Seems to be a pretty crowded spot with at least two groups always up there at once. So I wouldn’t suggest this overlook if you were looking for seclusion. But if you want a pretty view and a fun hike, this is a great option for you! Can’t wait to go back up in the fall!
