Meacham's Family Restaurant

We came here for the Onion Rings because we saw them on a TikTok video. #ArkieTravels . They did not disappoint! If anyone know about the Onion Loaf at Tony Roma's, these rings are very reminiscent of them. They are served with ranch. Good, but next time I have them, I will try with BBQ sauce.
I had the Fried Chicken, my wife had the Fried Catfish, and my ever growing teenage son had the Double Cheeseburger. All of these were excellent meals.
The menu is pretty diverse, with something for everyone. They serve breakfast all day! If you're waffling (see what I did?), give it a try. Small dining area, but if you time it right, small wait.
Oh, and by the way, the owner, kitchen staff, and wait staff are all really friendly.

The food was fantastic and well seasoned. Servers were quick knowledgeable and super polite. The entire menu was really reasonably priced but the daily specials looked like a steal.
The food was ready faster than I've had in basically any sit down restaurant and I assume it's thanks to the way they serve it. Me and my wife both had the chicken pot pie but it was served more like a huge bowl of soup topped with big flaky crust wedges. Looking around most of the food wasn't served in a "traditional" way.
The dining area itself has really interesting decor. They carved cattle and horse brands from all over the US with ones from the local area around the pay window.

Every time I come here the service has always been great! I cannot think of any issues I’ve had with the food. Their breakfast food is good as well as their onion rings, mashed potatoes. Really can’t think of anything I don’t like here!

This restaurant is amazing!! Alix has a super bubbly personality that just makes you in such a good mood also the most fun I've ever had working with someone!!! And her food is amazing!! My personal favorite to get from here is her fried mushrooms!!
Will be coming back to try the pork cutlet!!!

Loved the food! Best onion rings ever!! Service was lacking but they were friendly. Just not very attentive. We will definitely return for a second visit.

I'm new to the area, and I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised with Meacham's !!! The food is thoughtfully prepared and presented. I had a Chicken fried steak sandwich with fries and onion rings. Delicious, one of my favorite things that almost no one offers anymore. The dessert was a lemon cream cake. I was blown away so delicious and a perfect end to the meal. If that wasn't enough our wonderful server Dasha made us feel welcome and well cared for with her sweet and congenial personality. 👍👍👍❤

Very nice little place, the staff were very nice, and the food was very good. Price was not bad at all especially if you go with the specials. Wife had a loaded baked potato with bean soup and was very happy. I had the fish sandwich with fries and I can honestly way it was probably one of the best fish sandwiches I have had. We also had fried green tomatoes which were really good. We make them really different up in Indiana but I like Meacham's way better. For dessert it was snickers pie, which was decadent, and lemon meringue pie, which was very good. The lemon meringue was different than what I was accustomed too as well and enjoyed it very much. So if you happen to be in the area of Horseshoe Bend, AR and want really good comfort food Meacham's is the place in my book. Thank you for honestly good meal at a reasonable price!

We have just moved into the area from south central Arkansas and tried many restaurants therein, however let me say Meacham’s is the bees knees. The onion rings are light, crispy, sweet and oh so tummy. The cheeseburgers were great and the french fries- yum! All in all, 5 stars and we recommend this eatery to anyone wanting to get full.

If you like comfort food served at a family owned dinner then Meacham's is for you! What a great discovery! This is just the kind of restaurant that my wife and I look for when we are on the road. My wife had the open faced roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and Gravy and I had the double cheese burger and onion rings. Everything was excellent, the grilled bun always makes the burger for me and is a sure sign of a good chef. The onion rings were recommended by a fellow diner who was almost as friendly as the staff. A half order was enough for 4 people and they were indeed exceptional. If your in the neighborhood drop in for a great meal at a reasonable price served in an old fashion dinner you wont be sorry.

My family and I ate there last night. The food was amazing and we had the most incredible waitress(Jan). Also, the cream of potato soup was to die for. Wish I would of ordered a second bowl to go.

Food was excellent overall...but the pancakes were nothing to write home about (although they were huge). The mushroom soup and fried chicken was really good and the oyster po boy got rave reviews. Great spot that was really clean with very friendly staff.

Y'all. Visiting this place is a MUST! The food is fantastic, and you definitely get more than you paid for. Staff is very friendly. Wonderful down home family restaurant.
I drove from Nashville TN to visit, and would consider making the trip again ;)
If you go, get the onion rings (pictured after eating a few. This is the small order) and fried mushrooms (pictured). Literally the best ever. We also got the chili burger and patty melt. Very tasty...but really should've skipped breakfast. You fill up fast 😂 So good.

Fantastic diner food. Onion rings some of the best. Their slaw is wonderful and everything else was very good. Well done!

Really good comfort food. I had the groomed chicken livers with onions and buttered mashed potatoes...so good! The whole family loved their meals. Worth the stop.

Great food great prices and the staff was super friendly. Did have to wait a few mins but we'll worth it! Will definitely be going back and I would definately reccomend!!

I have been coming here for years with my family and this is still the best restaurant in the Hardy area! My favorite thing to order is the fried butterfly shrimp

Food is top tier, priced fairly, and the homemade ranch is to die for! Alix is such a lovely ray of sunshine and she sat with my friend and I and talked about life while we ate. She took the time out to be a lovey host whenever it was starting to get busy. Gave me a big hug afterwards and I will always be grateful for that. The atmosphere is amazing because you can tell she put a lot of love into it since she took over the business. LOVE YOU ALIX <3

Very nice place with very sweet people.

The food was delicious. I got the shrimp po'boy and it was better than I expected. Usually you get popcorn shrimp but there were 4 butterfly shrimp cooked to perfection with a little kick to them. Onion rings were awesome. Very glad we ordered a small to split as it was a lot. My husband ordered the Philly and it was just as good as mine.
