What a great (and very well hidden) find! I suggest watching videos on YT about how to get their first before you try on your own. When you park in the lot, there are no signs showing you where to go, but you will see a trailhead right in front of the where the cars park. If you want to get down to the cave quick, don't take that trail, rather walk to your right until you come up to another trailhead. Looks like a dried up riverbed. When you come to the Y in the trail, go left, over the fallen tree and you'll come up to a fire pit and small sign soon after. You're on top of the cave at that point. Walk down the small path to your right and there ya go!

What looks to be the trail in the parking area is not the trail. Walk to the right of it u til you see flags tied to trees. Fairly easy hike. Rocky and steep terrain though

Me andy friends and kids went here omg so beautiful and majestic. This is going be my new get away from everybody place lol so peaceful and beautiful. One my new favorite places wish I would have looked for this place sooner. Nice walk down stay to the left intell end trail the go to right down the bluff you'll find it. It is hidden so if I want right place to go go to visitor center they will give u a paper takes u straight to it with out it u won't find it's definitely hidden. Well worth it.the steep hill going back out of the trail is easier than some I have done.biy it is steep on way back up trail.enjoy I did.

Well worth the hike in. Beware that trails are not well marked or maintained. Make sure you have a GPS to get out. The trail to the south of the parking area (as marked on google maps) has a lot of rocks and loose debris. We took another route out, and ended up on a mile long trek uphill. There is another trail at the parking lot, even with the state park sign on the highway. We did not take that one, it might be better. Once we got into the cave area we found a brochure someone left that said to take the trail that's even with the state park sign.

All said, it's a very neat spot. Probably very pretty in spring when the water would be going down the falls.

I and my dogs enjoyed this area.
First, we got lost as I thought the trail right behind the parking area was the trail, but this trail turned out it wasn't it.
When you are standing in the parking area, looking at the road, there is one electric power pole to your left side . Take the left on the side of the road for short distances. This is going to take you to the right trail ( on this trail, a few ppl can stand side by side, at least when you first start).

Moonshiners Cave is a great short hike at the entrance of Devil’s Den State Park—It is not pat of the DDSP. Don’t go to the left- trail to nowhere!

Very cool hidden gem in NWA.
An unmarked .8mi trail down the hill takes about 30 mins get to the cave. The trail is open year-round.
It's said that this cave was first used by a pioneer family cira 1905. They believe the cave was enclosed and used as a root cellar, but later on the cave became home to bootleggers to make moonshine during prohibition.

This is a super cool place to visit. It's hard to find although everyone says it's close to the road. We were hiking for several miles throughout the park, and then decided to try and find it using Google Maps and it actually worked! There is a creek and a waterfall there as well. When we went it had snowed a couple of days before and there were huge icicles hanging down from the cave. It's gorgeous and unique.

Great short hike with interesting feature at the end. Trail was pretty rough starting out. It is like walking in a creek bed with large rocks. About halfway through the trail clears up and allows for an easy walk. Going in it is all down hill. Two small waterfalls were running . The cave is to the right and down just before crossing the stream. The trail continues on after the cave but we did not have time to check it out this time. Good shoes and a small light are needed for this hike. The cave is not really a cave but a rock overhang with a rock wall built to close it in. It is dimly lit so exploring inside is made easier with a light.

Great area. Wish idiots would stop spray painting the walls though. Waterfall is running decent tonight. Well worth checking out.

1.5 mile round trip. Unique structure at historical 1st peoples bluff shelter. Wet weather pour-over waterfall. Rough downhill trail. Easy to find.

Cool place! The other reviews are right - it isn't super easy to find. Don't cross the creek - it's right there!
