The large steak and cheese I had was tasty and huge (like 2 foot long.) Drinks were cold and shop was very neat and clean. This family owned gem is great and a local favorite. The employee was friendly and when I asked for a large he asked if I wanted to see how big it was. If your really hungry large is the way to go, or else you might want to order something smaller.

Super friendly staff! I was on my way home from a walk, but Lena let me know there is parking in the back fyi. I got a small Italian sub. This thing was PACKED and the best sub I’ve had in months. I also got a cup of chili and it was also really good. Highly, highly, highly recommend! The sub was absolutely delicious!!

Holy moly the best subs in Saugus. Literally they are huge!! We got meatball Parm eggplant Parm and steak and cheese subs. They were exceptional so tasty the place is clean the staff is friendly this is my go to place just tried it for the first time and I won’t go anywhere else after eating a sub here. The picture i posted is the size of the sub, they wrap each piece separately because they are so big!! Worth every penny!!

They have good wraps. Love the buffalo chicken finger wrap with cheese and lettuce, with blue cheese on side. Honey BBQ chicken finger wrap is also good. They have the good chicken fingers and real honey BBQ sauce. Definitely recommend these two items.

Lena's Sandwich Shop has been a staple here in Cliftondale Square for sometime now. It's our go to place for quality subs. The bread is FRESH and the sandwich sizes are huge. A small sub is like a large at other shops. And their large can feed a small family.

They are not open late, 8pm, and are closed on Sunday's but I respect a small business that believes a work life balance.

Lena's is and always has been the 'go to' place for tasty, fresh and quickly made food. It is practically a landmark in the Cliftondale area of Saugus! I go there often (have been going there almost 40 years!)
Would definitely recommend it!

They're subs are huge. I got a medium sub and it was the size of 2 whole subs. I'm a big guy and I couldn't even finish half of it.

I've been coming here for years now and they're one of the only places I've ever seen that knows how to pack a the proper way it should be done and food taste's excellent
