Stony Brook Reservation

Great place to walk. Plenty of trails, parks& activity's to do. It's a sm area of nature in 15 mins of a major city any direction. Need a car to live in this area tho...

Nice place to take a hike. It has a small course that you can make a loop in 10 -15 mins, but other trails will take you on a longer walk. I've seen white tailed deer here not far off the path, so you can "connect with nature" if that's your intention.

I take my dogs here for quick walks. There's a nice 2 mile loop (paved but a bit broken in places). Not overly crowded - except by turtle pond in the summer. There is a small parking lot and space to park on the side of the road.

Great trails, paths, handicap-accesible, and easy access to neighboring and cross-traffic trails. To be able to walk from my apartment, just off of Washington St. In West Roxbury (.5mi from Dedham Mall) and in under 10 minutes be in wooded, preserved and maintained outdoor space is a wonderful blessing! Dog walking, trail running, spaces to stop, wooded areas, water (swimming in summer at own risk) and other places within the reservation area that regularly get used for congregation (of many sorts) all exist. Enjoy your time outside!

A hidden city gem in any season - so many trails, easy access from West Roxbury or Hyde Park (including bus and commuter rail)

Great place to walk. There are paved paths or you can go off roading on hiking paths. Many different routes so it is never the same.

Quiet peaceful and a great one mile loop to walk run or bike.

Lovely trails and gorgeous in the fall

It’s been my favorite place since 2019, and I always go there at least once daily. My soul lives over, and I feel empty if one day I do not go. It is a peaceful place with a natural environment.

Great place to walk and unwind in the middle of the city. There’s a small lot for parking, but typically there’s plenty of spots along the side of Turtle Pond Parkway.

A woodland hiking walking and biking park with dirt and asphalt trails. Plenty of topography changes for all skill levels with a waterlilly covered pond with a dock for viewing. The area closest to Bellevue hill has the most diversity in landscape.

Nice place to enjoy nature. Beautiful trails only thing is to make sure you stay on point with your gps locations and trails, otherwise you'll end up lost off track.

Great place during any season. A park this size within the Boston city limits is a resource that few cities have. Great to walk, bike or jog.

Note that Google Maps doesn't show how big Stony Brook Reservation is at all. It extends all the way along Turtle Pond Parkway north to Bellevue Hill across Washington Street and south to Kelley Playground at Mother Brook. Download the Massachusetts Parks dep't map at the linked URL to see it.

Beautiful peaceful place to walk and roam about, can get windy but very nice....can see the fireworks display at a distance without the books.

Awesome place to hike and ride your mountain bike. Would be a hundred times better if people wouldn't litter

Always a beautiful walk in the forest at Stony Brook Reservation! I am so blessed to have this nature preserve in my neighborhood.

I've been here twice. Lot of trails there. Good directions board around, really hard to get lost.
