Grand Motor Inn Hotel, Deming, NM

This Hotel/Motel was the talk of the town when it was New. You can tell just by the way it looks. It used to be very Grand and elegant and if you take your artist's eye and look at the place you can see that it's not that far removed from the grand place that it used to be. My guess is it was built in the 50s but, it's been very well maintained. There are three buildings with the common area encircling the pool that is a nice place to either entertain your friends or to have a barbecue with the other guests. The staff here are just impeccably great. I think you'd be very wise to book a stay here, if you're coming through Deming New Mexico. Stay a weekend or a holiday here. I promise you won't regret it. The price,right now is about $60 a night depending on the day of the week, but by this time next year I wouldn't be surprised to see the prices top $100 . I've been here for about a week and intend to stay another week.

This place is fabulous. Of course it's clean as a whistle, of course the rooms are convenient. What makes it t
he best is a great restaurant inside the building. I had prime rib cooked to perfection and brought to me buy one of the friendliest and efficient wait staff. Catherine, the manager went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable in my room. When the entire crew of a hotel is this great, it deserves five stars and more.

This older hotel has seen better days, on the outside only, as the rooms are clean and comfy. The staff are very polite and helpful. At first you might think that the very low price would come with a lot of offsets, but everything about this place is a great value. Did I mention the staff? From the front desk, cleaning crew, to the waitress and cook, they all make your visit worthwhile. The pic is of my inexpensive 3 egg ham and cheese omelet with beans and verde sauce. Yummy

THE BEST PANCAKES I'VE EVER HAD !!! And I'm not a pancake person but I tried my best to devour these babies. The prices and portions are absolutely amazing along with the taste to boot. From the coffee to your last bite ( you will need a box) the food is hot and good. The hotel will make you question your decision to stay, but the rooms are CLEAN and COMFY , the service is GREAT, the Atmosphere is calm BUT THIS RESTAURANT WILL MAKE UP FOR ANY DOUBTS YOU HAD. Even if I don't get to stay here on my next trip , I'm coming here to eat! Lol. Your server will be the nicest person you'll ever meet and has good knowledge on fun happenings in town. Thanks for such great hospitality ❤

Wonderful place to book a room for a night or two or three or more. Staff goes above and beyond their job duties and you will definitely feel at home even if your spirits are sorrowed you walk away smiling. And if you want a good supernatural experience jump in the mystery machine and get ready for fun...... highly recommended for a visit, good nights rest and extended stay. Thank you for such a great escape and wonderful stay.....

Guys, everything about my stay was great. This is the motel you should be looking for on your trip.

Pro:
-Great pricing
-Clean. Everything was spotlessly clean.
-Courteous staff
-The rooms are well furnished, even with a pretty nice TV
-Secure parking out front. We had a truck bed full, and they volunteered to take regular looks at it when they went to smoke and stuff.

Cons:
-The bed was a little firm. Certainly not a rock, but it was moderately firm.
-The dead bolt didn't work. It was hanging on the door plate, but with a little messing with it I got it to close.

Summary:
While it isn't a Hilton, this is certainly the best motel I've been to. It really is a nice place, with a nice little cafe attached. Highly recommended.

Air conditioner in my sleeper went out in my truck and in a way, I'm glad it did. Had it not have gone out, I never would've found this place. The staff there are very nice, the food in the restaurant is excellent. Rooms are very clean and nice as well. Definitely would stop in again, even if my air conditioner is working.

I can't comment on the hotel besides seeing the lobby which was beautiful and clean but as for the restaurant that exchanged hands as of today.. the place is amazing. The new owner and head cook Ray made me feel like I was back home after being broke down in Deming for 5 days. Some of the best food I've tasted. Had the pleasure of eating there 3 different days and was blown away at the mouth watering meals. Very kind wait staff as well. I'd rate these guys 10 🌟 s if at all possible!

I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room and the fridge/microwave. Got in late and was one of 3 tables at the restaurant near closing and absolutely loved my fajitas. The food was fantastic and the folks where nice. What a little gem hidden just off the highway! This is the first and probably the last review I will have written but this place was worth it!

We were able to stay at the Grand Hotel for 2 days after our motor home was damaged from a tire blowout. The manager was gracious and let temporary repairs and tire replacement be completed in the parking lot. The food at the restaurant was very good and the service excellent. The entire staff and management of both the hotel and restaurant went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible given the circumstances. I highly recommend.

Very clean, quiet, and nice. Restaurant prices are very good, with an outstanding breakfast special. Rooms are the best I've see on my entire trip. Nice accents in the room and the bathroom is clean and nice. I highly recommend the Grand Motor Inn over chain motels and hotels. I would stay there again.

This year is the 3rd year we have stayed at this hotel while on vacation. We are always so impressed with the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms, reasonable rates, clean guest laundry area and the super friendly 24 hour a day staff. The lobby is welcoming and impressive with its charming decor. All of our needs were met with the amenities they offer. There is complimentary coffee in the lobby 24 hours a day. Their restaurant offers a variety of delicious and reasonably priced meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The welcoming and friendly staff at both the hotel and restaurant make you feel like family. Whether you stay one night or several, this hotel is a must!

I have not stayed in the motel as I just moved to the area. I have eaten in the restaurant twice. Both times the service was excellent. They have a nice variety. The Restaurant is clean as are the bathrooms. The food is delicious and a good value: I feel like I am eating with family when I eat hear. This will be one of my go too restaurants when I feel like going out with my family.

Stayed here overnight on a long haul move from TX to AZ. I'm glad I found this place. The rooms were great, the price was right and the beds were comfortable.

The bar/lounge also had a great vibe, and the bartender was awesome. Breakfast at the diner was superb. I plan on staying here again on my way through next time.....

Wonderful service...I checked in about 11pm and was greeted very promptly and kindly. The room was clean and very quiet. I will be passing thru in a couple days and have reserved a room for another stay. If you are looking for value over "frills", this is a good option. The room was larger than I expected.

The hotel is designed as a motel with 2 stories and pool in middle of quad. They provide HBO and free WiFi with a very warming personal staff to help answer any questions with a sense of joy. The restaurant is a great choice in the morning there but understand that it is not free or included with the stay, and that because of popularity their tables book fast. All in all, a wonderful stay.

Fun and great price! The staff was exceptional! We had a great time. It was perfect for a weekend retreat. The decor in the lobby was elegant and the rooms were clean, well maintained and comfortable.

This was the best hotels! If you want friendly service and comfort, this is the place to go. We drove in from the Grand Canyon heading back to west Texas and we were tired so we stopped here. I was sceptical because pictures lie. It seems like it's in the middle of nowhere coming in at 1:00 in the morning but it was the best hotel we stayed in with our 6 day road trip. There's a restaurant down stairs with delicious affordable food. We felt so comfortable I would recommend this place to everyone. Oh and lots of parking with enormous rooms. You feel at home. That is a plus.

Our experience surpassed all of our expectations. The room was very large and nice for the price. We ate at the restaurant in the lobby and the food was EXQUISITE! We travel a lot and were only staying for one night. If we'd had the time, we would have stayed another night just to rest. This place gets a +++++ from us!

The staff were wonderful, kind,and very helpful. The rooms were cozy and the beds were very comfy. The restaurant was phenomenal. The food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. I would DEFINITELY come back when I head back this way.
