Route 66 Delta Motel

I am in the middle of a very long solo road trip and just needed gas. The closest gas station was right across from this place and after being on the road for 15 hours, I decided I needed to rest. Robert was able to accommodate me and was so great. I'm so grateful for his hospitality. The rooms seem to all have themes and I got the Eagles room which was cool. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable, even more uncomfortable than the "nice" hotels I've stayed in. I can't express enough how happy I am that I stumbled upon this place and it came just at the right time for me. I wanna make another road trip through here just to give it more business. 6/5 stars.

Wow! What a wonderful find! The room was not just comfy and cozy... it was absolutely charming! Great, soft, plush towels, very comfy bed, great pillows, hot water, and the woman who checked us in was so friendly and welcoming. I hope we get another job to come thru Winslow for the night just so we can stay here. Great rates, Veteran discounts, pet friendly. And so clean!

The newly remodeled king room was squeaky clean and furnished with a beautiful SW decor. We apreciated warm hospitality with our stay. Will stay again whenever in Winslow!

We have stayed at the Delta for the last couple of years and have had a wonderful experience each time. Robert and Christine are dedicated owners and it shows with their first rate customer service. We participate in a local car show each year and they may sure our truck and car trailer are safely parked and secured. The rooms are always in wonderful shape clean and comfortable. The fact that they are on the edge of town eliminates any train or semi truck noise therefore giving you a quiet environment for a good night's sleep. Their rates are the best value in town. Give them a try I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely wonderful!! This adorable Route 66 Motel was great. Just off the interstate, affordable, quiet, clean, and comfortable. It's being updated with themed rooms. We stayed in the Marilyn room... SO CUTE! The owners were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We'll stop on our way back home if it's timed right.

I met the owner. He was very considerate for such a insignificant problem they had with their card reader. The place was fresh and clean. I would enjoy making a longer stay in the future. Definitely my first choice in Wenslow.

I ain’t going to lie I was very nervous about this place, but Wow this place is amazing very nice and unique, but let’s talk about how clean it is, who ever cleans these rooms gets a five star! The bed is so comfortable with comfortable sheets makes me feel like I am in my own bed at home. The owner is very nice and will talk with you if your inviting while you are sitting at these cute patio furniture they have for each room! So what can I say take the risk like we did and come stay here you won’t be disappointed!

This is the most unique motel I’ve ever stayed at! It was built in the 60’s and has been remodeled with 1950 and 60’s themes in the rooms!!! You might get the Elvis room, the Eagles room, the Marilyn Monroe room etc….. You never know what you’ll get! The AC is all new like the floors, toilets, tubs, sinks, TV and refrigerators ! We’re traveling from Alabama and this place is phenomenal!!! Not only do you get the cleanest room it’s cheap only $95 bucks per night! When we checked in they even gave us bottle water! Love this motel and we’ll be staying here every time we travel through Winslow, Arizona!!!

A true "sleeper" - from the street, it still looks like it might be a shabby old outdated motel - much like a lot of others on Route 66. But, once you pass through the driveway entrance, the experience changes!

The rooms are truly renovated, comfortable, & nice. Looks like they put new everything from top to bottom. We got to stay in the Veterans Suite, a nice tribute to all Veterans.

The parking lot seems to be getting a new layer of surface rock, so we caught them mid-project. Each room has a couple chairs & side table under the porch/sidewalk to sit & visit or watch the beautiful sunsets.

Will definitely stay here again when we're in the area!

As others have said - do NOT make a decision based on the exterior. We were passing through town and never plan ahead, we just ‘wing it’. So we looked up local hotels (we’re typically Hilton, Marriott, etc vacationers) and saw this place. Looked at the reviews and decided to give them a shot. No online booking or information. We called them about 2 hours before we got into town and she was awesome with booking. Super personable. But yeah yeah yeah, anyone can be nice over the phone, right?

We got here to check in and our immediate thought, oh no - what did we get ourselves into now?!?! But, same as on the phone - check in was easy and she was friendly. We chose the ‘Eagles’ themed room. Got to the room and pleasantly surprised. Nice and clean. Bathroom new and impeccably clean. Warm cozy one bed room for us.

This is a hidden gem. I don’t generally post reviews at all but thought this place was deserving. If we ever roll through town again, this is our go to. Trust the reviews - not the outside. ;)

Don’t judge a book by its cover! Especially the Rt 66 Delta Motel. Warmly greeted on the phone for reservations and in person at the front desk. Easy check-in and free bottles of water, Rooms are all recently renovated and the work’s been done very well. Each one is tastefully themed and we got the Veteran’s unit.
Clean, fresh, welcoming and everything works.
Looking forward to staying again to see what you do to the outsides.

Great place! Really friendly owners. Wonderful room and very clean! Very cute little gem if you are into the old fashion nostalgic vibe. Have stayed at several old RT66 motels from Missouri to California and this is a top 5 no doubt! Will definitely be staying on the next trip we take.

My parents were so very impressed with their stay and fair pricing! They highly recommend!! They very much enjoyed the management and loved the "Veterans" theme room they stayed in. The rooms and bathroom were very clean. The management also takes special care of our veterans and allows them to participate in leaving small items with their name rank and comment with other veterans items that stay there. They will for sure be back at Route 66 Delta Motel if they are back in the area.

This motel is truly a gem. Our room so impeccably clean and comfortable. We stayed in #11, the Veterans Memorial Room The decor and details were absolutely perfect. We highly recommend Route 66 Delta Motel for your stay.

Wonderful place to stay! Highly suggest felt even better than most the hotels I’ve been in. Everything is well kept and CLEAN. When I say clean I couldn’t even find dust in the room. I felt I was in a safe location as well. They also respect our veterans and we were able to stay in the veterans room. Was very thought full and made me proud that I was able to serve our country. Again they have an amazing place and the owners were extremely nice. Even gave us water which is something I have not experienced with a lot of hotels. Would definitely stay here again!!

Love it. it's quiet and clean, and the owner is as sweet as pie. I would for sure recommend it and would definitely come back.
That first half was apparently 5 years ago today (thank you Google timeline for the reminder).
I still remember how peaceful it was at this hotel, but most of all, the owner I'll never forget. She was just the nicest person and made us so comfortable. I enjoyed talking to her even for a short time. The rest of the trip was horrible but staying at the Delta was a highlight for me. I recommend it and if I'm ever in Arizona again I'd definitely stay there again. The town sucks pretty much but the hotel is great, and everyone we met was friendly. 2023 update.

The room looks like just remodeled in 70's style, brand new condition. The owner also has RV camp and apartment available. The place looks wild but once staying over night you will find this place is naturally secure like a cave. The night manager would even ask guests if food and water needed. For the average 2 star hotel daily price I can't ask more. 110% authentic Route 66 motel experience!

From the moment the manager Denny answered the phone , I knew we had found a special place. Her kind and genuine personality is the embodiment of hospitality. This little motel truly is a gem. Located right off route 40 on route 66, each room has a special American theme which is cool. The motel is very clean and the bed and pillows cozy and comfortable. Nice tv, cable, mini fridge, microwave, shower with tub. Soft white towels. The parking area is well lit and secure with lots of cameras and 24 hour surveillance. The owners obviously take excellent care of this motel and are on site and involved. It is the perfect place for a quiet , clean , safe and secure stay ! They even brew you fresh coffee or tea in the morning.

If I ever have the chance to stay in Arizona again, I will make it a point to visit the Delta Motel again. It was easy to find, just off the highway. The room I stayed in, The Eagles theme, was newly renovated, had a super comfortable bed, great hot water and pressure. I never had any issues with the wifi or anything really, and the mini fridge and microwave were great amenities, as well. And along with all that, the owners, Robert and Christine made the stay that much more better. You'll never get the kind of hospitality and personability in a chain facility. They are the reason I would come back, and know that their vision for the motel is a great one, and I feel truly honored that I got to hear their plans. You will not regret staying here.

Clean and well maintained. Old school Route 66 type deal but fully updated. Lighting and security excellent! I was there for the car show and appreciate the fact you can park your classic just outside the room at night. The owners are hard-working locals trying to save a slice of Americana and Route 66 history. I will recommend and stay here again.
