NW Food & Gifts

We love NW Foods & Gifts. Their products are local and support area artists, crafters wine and food producers. Try sitting outside with a glass of wine to get the real "flavor" of McMinnville. Photos show the handcrafted cheese cutting board made of walnut. We bought one as a gift a year ago. This is the second one we bought as a birthday present for my husband.

Wonderful staff, phenomenal wine selection, and a shop full of unique artsy finds you won't see anywhere else. The one place I always make sure to visit when I'm in McMinnville.

Great selection of local food, gifts. They also have a wide selection of local wines to purchase plus they offer wine tasting. Grace was very friendly and knowledgeable. This place is a gem and we will be definitely returning.

Owner + staff are incredibly friendly and know a lot about what they sell. Much better selection than I expected, and many of the items are made by local artists. Really nice spot!

Absolutely amazing place to come and see creations of the local community. From wine, trinkets, wood working and more. It is a must stop by. I recommend asking for a James Tate and having a wine tasting. What an amazing place. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place with great service and the highest quality selection of gift items that I know of in the area. My brother has taken to his alpaca knit hat and scarf quite well. Anyway, I absolutely loved it here. I will be back with a fat wallet soon.

The staff is knowledgeable about wines, very friendly employees. If you don’t know James by the end of your visit you will adore him. Beautiful art pieces that are made from local artists. Prefect place for a date or get engaged. ❤

NW Food & Gifts is one of my favorite places to shop in McMinnville. Not only is there a large selection of wine, food, and beautiful hand-crafted items to admire, but then there is the difficult choice to choose which item(s) is best to select for that special person that you came shopping for in the first place. James, the owner, as well as all who work for him, are so very friendly and helpful that one cannot linger and shop longer than maybe originally intended. I always get the feeling that the store just welcomes you with wide-open arms the moment you walk in the door! I always enjoy my shopping experience and always leave with not only my special purchase, but most likely more (a gift for myself) than I came in for. I just love this store!

This is a super special place nestled right on bustling Street in downtown mcminnville. Inside, is a treasure trove of handmade goods and wonderful local delicacies.
Some of the most amazing cutlery you'll ever see all handmade.
The owner is so friendly and on the level you will want to come back again and again.

This is the best place in town for wine tastings. James is very knowledgeable about wines. He is very friendly, and he has great customer service. What I love the most about this place is that everything is very unique and handmade. I get so overwhelmed with so much beauty and talent with every item in this store! We LOVED this place. I had a wine tasting, my partner had beer, and we walked around the place to buy some local items. We had a great time and will certainly be back.

We stumbled upon this place while exploring downtown McMinnville and absolutely loved the place! I love the fact that everything is sourced from local vendors and they have a great front porch to sit and sip wine; the perfect touch!

We also had the pleasure of speaking with the owner when we were in and you can tell he's just a genuine and great human. That mixed with the awesome atmosphere of the shop - this is a place you need to stop and check out!

In late September 2015 my family and I conducted a week-long driving tour of Oregon starting in Portland and including a visit to wine country and the coast. By far the most memorable experience centered around McMinniville, home of NW Food & Gifts and Insiders Wine Tour.

James, proprietor of NW Food & Gifts, was our Insiders Wine Tour host and tour guide. We developed a preliminary list of wineries we wanted to visit and left it to his expert judgment to customize the tour to best fit our desired group experience. He didn’t disappoint. From his expert vantage point as a wine enthusiast and extensive knowledge of the area and wineries, everything was absolutely top notch and pitch perfect. He is an excellent story teller and expertly brings to life the unique personality of the wineries and product. Thanks, James for a memory our family will cherish for years to come. Wonderful selection of traditional and unusual gifts as well as wine! If you're looking for something to take back home as a gift or just to remember Oregon Wine country, you must stop here. Also great if you're a local like myself and want a gift to take to friends and family that are authentic Oregon.

I hate when my girlfriend drags me into local shops were everything costs an insane amount and I need to refinance my house to buy a bar of soap or a hoodie.

However, we went to this place simply because my gf wanted to get a hat someone purchased. I was extremely shocked at how awesome the store was. The bird house mail boxes were awesome and a great gift at 25 bucks. The soaps were 6 a pop which is a steal. The cherry on top was the local beer and wine fridge. This place had some really cool items that seemed very well made. Give it a go if you're in the area.
