Root Beer Stand

This place was renovated by HGTV Hometown Makeover 2021 in Winslow. Had an icream cone and owner came out for a picture op. Happy for them, so you must visit if you go there. 5 Stars $$

After visiting here twice before and looking on my own with no luck….I finally found this Hometown Takeover spot after stopping at the Visitor Center. One would think the town would do better advertising where this little gem can be found.

When we were over on holiday, we stopped by and really enjoyed the food. The chili cheese fries are amazing, and the root beer was lovely.

Good family friendly wholesome atmosphere. Food was reasonably priced (especially compared with the expensive McDonald's in Winslow) and very good. Much recommend

My husband and I stopped for lunch on our way through AZ. We always try to find local businesses to support and this place did not disappoint. Highly recommend the chili cheese fries. I had the taco tangler and my husband had the school burger and chili cheese fries. All delicious and the service was great as well. Will stop here again as we travel out west a lot.

I parked and planned to go in, but one of the waiters came out to get my order before I even put my car in park. 😂 The food tastes great and the workers get it to you super fast.

I saw this reno on HGTV and wanted to check it out. I was not disappointed. The hamburger was so delicious. It reminded me of the burgers I used to eat when I was a child; freshly made and juicy. The handmade ice cream and root beer for the root beer float made that float fantastic!!!! The service was top knotch as well. Whenever I'm in Winslow, I will not leave until I stop at the Root Beer Stand and get a burger, chili cheese fries, and root beer float!

The classic root beer was delicious. Has a corn dog (a lot smaller that I imagined) and a small portion of chili cheese fries. The chili was very meaty and extra cheesy. So good!

Been wanting to go to The Rootbeer Stand since I saw them on HGTV. Food was great. No public restroom. It took a lot longer to get our food than we thought it would.

The people who work hear are so friendly and are always smiling. There food is super good. If I could give I 6th star I would. They are the best burgers in the world

A must-stop on your road trip! Chili cheese fries and burger are great and made fresh. Much better than a chain place, and with an old diner feel. They make their own root beer, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I’ll be making this a destination on future road trips!

It is a great option for good burgers 🍔 and nice enviroment. The owners are friendly as well as kind people .

It's pretty good food, lovely store front, and great customer service. Stepping into this little restaurant on another corner of Winsow Arizona definitely feels like a blast from the past.

Was looking for something on our way back home and this was perfect! Not super greasy, affordable and the root beer was delicious! Staff was very friendly and quick with getting orders out. 10/10 would go again

The regular cheeseburger combo I had was delicious. But more importantly, the two girls who are serving everyone including myself were extremely friendly and kind. Great job to them and great job to the cook who made my lunch. Definitely coming back. 🙂
