Update: contacted Kimberly Salazar because Ashleen told me she was out of the office- come to find out Mrs. Salazar was there after all and apparently didn't want to take my call when I asked for a supervisor. Unprofessional. Really think that even if I submit a new application that because of the issues they won't get me on it.

Ashleen who works there is a really unsympathetic person. I'm so upset after speaking with her. I tried to get on the list for Section 8 and put down exactly what my husband makes weekly, as there is NO spot for monthly. Well apparently that shows he is getting 2,000 more then he really is so we end up not quailfying. MAKES NO SENSE!! Plus apparently even though I don't get much child support it still counts towards a whole year payments of what I put down. Heartless!!!!!

I find it unfair to those who need the help that there is no help no list for landlords no list of rentals you are on your own since the facility they have is all maxed out......which is understandable considering we live in a small town it's unfortunate that the workers turn you away with no information pretty much throw you to the wolves to survive. Lucky me I grew up learning to never give up that nothing is impossible and if you want something fight for it...I'm a single mother of four....I have no help from any of my family or my kids family that's no one to blame since I brought these kids into this world it's my responsibility to make sure they are safe and taken care of... Having to depend on the government and city officials jumping threw all sorts of hoops to make it possible to have a nice house a safe house I will do whatever it takes.... I will continue to strive for the sake of my kids I'm not a pushover... I volunteer in our community as much as I can donating clothes toys house items for free to those in need I know how it is to NEED things... I also donate my time to those in need of food for funerals.... If I am capable of giving I will and I shall.... My kids as well help out the elderly with taking out the trash cans or pulling them in. even making them a plate for dinner. Taking them the mail it shows them that the small things in life can make a difference in this world it's not much but it's something.
With that being said I will continue my journey on being a better person then I was yesterday cause we are not promised tomorrow

I've been on the waiting lists for almost 7 years. Finally got approved in 2020. Well..I came down with covid in march 2020. Was in i.c.u. an rehab for 2 months. Came home to recuperate. Couldn't find any apts here in Winslow. Still can't find one. An now my app. ended April 13.2011. Still didn't find one. I endured covid for almost one year. Finally got my moderns shots.2 to be exact. This covid set me back. Now when I am able. My certificate ran out. I feel like I should get another chance. This is one of the reasons Covid did to me!!
