Won my pizza tourney after taste testing. Sourdough crust- these guys know there way around dough. Eating it in person is even better than takeout. Fresh ingredients. One of the best, if not the best, pizza in Massachusetts.

I got the salsiccia pizza. I don't always agree with Dave's reviews, many times I don't, but this one was on the mark. It's an elite pizza with a soupy center. Soupy center notwithstanding The Square Deli belongs in the conversation about the best in the area.

Disclaimer: not a portnoy fan boy. This is the best pizza I’ve personally had in boston. Loved the sourdough crust which was subtle but definitely noticeable. I got a large and really enjoyed it. Pretty rare to find a high quality pizza in boston, this will 100% be my go to moving forward. Super curious about sandwiches so I’ll have to go back. Best slice in the world no - best slice in boston? Possibly

Born and raised in Jersey and have been seeking decent pizza in Boston. Well this place is fantastic. Fresh dough
makes a difference (a lot of places freeze their dough, you can tell on the first bite). Not Square Deli. Got a steak and cheese too which was great. Owner was super nice. This is my new go-to spot for Pizza.

This was delicious! Got the numero uno pizza and the UFO. A must try for sure, great for takeouts as well.

Wow. What a pizza I mean really there isn’t anything else that comes close to this place in the area in my opinion. We got a half pepperoni half cheese and it didn’t disappoint. Crust was crispy and the sauce and cheese was just a perfect balance of each. We also got two steak and cheese and those were also very good and not skimpy like a lot of other places are starting to get in the area. I’m willing to pay whatever if the portion size is fair. And then we also got fries I think they were fresh cut and were just perfect. Overall I cannot wait to get another pizza from this place and try the other items in the menu. This guy seems to know what he is doing and also so seems to be a one man show with possibly one other person helping him out so much props to him. Highly recommend this place.

Chris and the crew at Square Deli take an interesting spin on the classic northeastern thin-crust slice. It certainly doesn’t please everyone — and I don’t want it to — it’s unique, it’s fresh, and most importantly it is delicious.

Who would’ve thought naturally leavened sourdough would give such depth to a slice? Not me. The sourdough crust gives it a nice, airy crunch with a little bit of classic sourdough tang that compliments the sauce and the cheese perfectly.

Too many places undercook their pizza, causing grainy, soggy and floppy crust. I’m pleased to say that is not the case here.

Crispy pepperoni cups with fresh grated cheese on top are excellent compliments to this already-great slice.

My only regret is that I didn’t formally review this place sooner. You get caught up being a local, I guess :-)

I got a turkey sandwich from here in November that I have not stopped thinking about since. I was just visiting MA, and was drunk as hell when I stumbled upon their store on a delivery app. I was not expecting it to be anything exciting, but that sandwich was absolutely divine. I’m so pissed off that I live in Missouri now, because I can’t get that turkey sandwich. I’m gonna have to take a yearly pilgrimage to Boston just to eat that sandwich.

On another note - their service rules. I asked for ketchup for my fries and not only did they give me a big cup of it - but they wrapped the cup in plastic wrap so it wouldn’t spill while traveling to my hotel. 🥹

the food here is awesome, the service lately not so much. I've gone twice in the past 2 weeks and they weren't open at 1130. today I even waited in my car for 20 min until 1130 so I could order there. myself and an other customer were at the door. he knocked and the 2 women inside looked at us and then just continued to ignore us. he left and then I did too since no one could be bothered to acknowledge us at the door

Absolutely awesome pizza and the salad was great! The people at the counter and table were nice.
Just go and get a pizza well worth dealing with Everett traffic.

Probably the best pizza in Boston. You might have seen it been given a super high score (8.3) by the pizza guy, Dave Portnoy himself. And it is well deserved

The cheese pizza is the star for me but the sausage and veggie also incredible. Their dough is really just so top notch you can tell how fresh and home made this is.

The service always feels warm and welcoming. If you’re not close to Everett it’s worth the drive. If you are close this will easily turn into a staple.

I’ve heard they make a mean cheesesteak too can’t wait to try it.

Don’t miss out on this place! The subs are awesome, and the staff is always friendly. Great for lunch or dinner, sometimes are closed when you call, but easy to call ahead and pick up or dine in. Get a slice to go!

Hands down the best chicken parm sub I ever had in my life. You can tell the love the owner has for his restaurant and his food. I would hate to be the competition! I tried to take one bite while waiting in traffic and ended up devouring the entire thing before I could make it to Revere!

Been to John Bleaker's in NYC and completely feel Square Deli pizza is in that category of all time greats. Why? Bleaker's pizza, sauce, dough while good, it feels very similar to other great pie's I've tasted that offer a unique touch of delicious tomato sauce to go along with a nice dough. I've traveled the world and had pizza from Mexico to Amsterdam and beyond. Most pizza I have seen, tried and tasted was similar to say a Regina, Bleaker's. It's in that ballpark. The defining difference is the sauce. Square Deli has its own niche in the Hall of Fame. It has that sour dough with a distinctive sauce with a nice tang and of course the crunch factor. I am a thin crust pizza guy and the crunch is perfect. Chris, you can tell puts in the extra effort of love with the grated cheese, basil and olive oil on the crust. I always come in with a friend and we share a huge pie together. Well worth the trip and 100% best pizza I have tried in Everett and in that greater Boston area.

Great spot for pizza and sandwiches. Pizza is made with very high quality products, but the dough steals the show. Non-commercial yeast, expertly cared for leading to a light, crispy and very flavorful crust. The owner, Chris, is incredibly nice and clearly operating on a high level.

Pizza is fantastic!

But what I honestly loved more than anything was the incredible humble and down to earth staff/owner.

I ordered for pizza up and got there a little early. I usually feel bad doing that because I don’t want them to feel rushed, but they didn’t care. Then while I was waiting they gave me a slice which didn’t really hold me over because it was so good all I wanted was the rest of the pie.

The crust and fresh basil was amazing! The sauce to cheese ratio was good. Sauce was just right!

Only thing I would do different is grate some fresh parm or ramano on that thing!

We love Square. It's our usual weeknight pizza takeout when their open. Yes, they sometimes have weird hours or are closed random days, but everyone needs/wants time off! Just follow them on social media to get an idea of when they're open.

Their dough is so different than the other places around and it's what keeps us coming back for more! They can't be compared to other places. We recently had the mushroom fromage pizza and it was amazing!

Also, their Greek salad is the best around, no debate.

Brought my family here today. We are visiting from California. Unfortunately we don't have this good of pizza in our neighborhood. We got the Margherita pizza and a half cheese half pepperoni. By far the best pizza we have ever had.

Hands down best pizza in Massachusetts. I ordered "the numero uno" pizza which is basically a cheese pizza with basil. Absolutely incredible. I would drive 1hr for this pizza anyday of the week. ⛽ ⛽ ⛽
