I was impressed by the food and I saw very high ratings for the food by Zagat over the years hanging on display and it was true.
The warm homemade bread was a good indication of good things to come like the perfectly fried Calamari with a wonderful side of tomato sauceThe burrata mozzarella was very fresh and juicy with a good quality prosciutto. The egglant parmigiana done to perfection.
The rigatoni Matriciana had a sublime flavor . The portions at Abbondanza(Abundance) are very big I had to bring home more than half of the pasta because I liked it so much. I usually avoid doggy bags but this was a treasure bag. Service was friendly and efficient.Prices more than reasonable for the quality and quantitude of the food.
All my friend equally enjoyed and rave about the dinner.

Been coming here my whole life, my parents live a 1 min walk away. The food has remained consistent & amazing. North end quality without the hassle. Love the chicken broccoli fusilli & gnocchis. But honestly everything is very good!!

In town for business and heard about Abbondanza from a co-worker. This place was great. Wait staff was super attentive and the food was awesome. From the homemade bread, homemade dressings for the salad, to the ridiculously delicious entrees. I had the Ravioli Pomodoro. So far this has been one of the best dinners that we have had to multiple trips to this area.

Top 5 Italian meals in Boston. Absolutely delicious, family owned. Always friendly and helpful ...the bread basket even comes with pizza. Pizza in the basket - Wow. House red wine was also fantastic. Get there!

TRIED A CHICKEN PARM AFTER I DELIVERED SOME....AFTER A LONG DRIVE MY DINNER WAS STILL WARM. I LOVE THE BREAD THE INNER IS SOFT AND FRESH WITH THE OUTTER CRUNCHY. GARLIC BREAD WAS GOOD TO ! STAFF EXCELLENT !!!!!

It was a collation meal after a funeral service. I did not know that there was a private room downstairs. It was done perfectly with great quality and care. The wait staff was amazing and the food was excellent!!!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary on a Saturday afternoon. There were about ten other people in the restaurant. I ordered Fruitti di Mare and my wife ordered stuffed veal chop and a glass of wine. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer. We were given bread with butter as well. My dish consisted of clams, mussels, scallops, and shrimp over linguine in a scampi sauce. It was fantastic and enough to bring some home for another meal. My wife's veal cop was over two inches thick. It came with pasta. My wife said that it was delicious. Total bill ( two dinners, appetizer, wine, and tax) came to $85. We have eaten here in the past and will eat here again. It was a fantastic meal, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is on-streetand difficult to find, although at 5 pm on a Saturday, it wasn't too bad.

Another excellent experience at Abbondanza! The waiters make you feel right at home and take great care of their customers. The food is authentic and homestyle Italian cuisine, taste like Italy. My favorite is the eggplant rollatini appetizer and of course the infamous chicken parm. I love this place, it is my favorite hidden gem.

Abbondanza is spot on! Just moved to the neighborhood and found this Italian gem. The food is delicious and fresh, service was so friendly. Location is convenient and easy to get to without having to head into the city. Love the weekend specials... Chilean Sea bass with spinach risotto was EXCELLENT. Excited to make Abbondanza a weekly treat...

My family and I used to eat here quite often for a while, and for some reason we stopped coming for a while. Well we must be stupid, because we finally came back tonight and the food was more delicious than we remembered! Homemade pastas cooked perfectly, fresh fish, great sauce, everything was amazing. Friendly service too.

I don't what some of these other reviewers are talking about, however the staff that served me were great! And the food was even better! I highly recommend the grilled calamari and Buffalo Di mozzarella for apps. Both were unlike anything I've ever tasted, except in Italy. Furthermore, the eggplant parmigiana was layered with razors thin layers of eggplant and cheese, incredible stuff!

Great little whole in the wall, lots of flavors you wont be disappointed.

2nd visit in 2 weeks and many more to come since we found this gem! Excellent Italian! Sauce, bread, veal is fantastic and the staff is even better. Antoinette is awesome as well as the other ladies and gentlemen. And the desserts are amazing. Such a great find.

We opted to come here before going to Encore after comparing reviews to the restaurants in the Casino. The food was delicious. Bread was warm and crusty. Beef Braciole was the best I’ve had and my fiancé’s Chicken Marsala was very good. Decent pour of wine for the price. Best part was the cannoli’s! We got 3 cannolis to go (bc we were so full) - I would say they are better than Mike’s! Shell was crisp and filling was sweet but still cheesy. It seemed like there were 2 waitresses for a weekend night. No complaints with the service but I think an additional server on busy nights would make a difference. We will be back!

I was looking for a place to have a meal for 35+ people after my grandmothers funeral. They were so accommodating and professional. Not to mention they’re family style mercy meal sit down really was very lovely, especially after a very emotional service. Very wonderful restaurant they have, food was absolutely amazing, and I know whenever we come back to the area we will definitely be stoping in to say hello, have a glass of wine and a rich and delicious Italian meal. Thank you for making an already very difficult day a little less harder to deal with. The Decowski/ Viens/ Hughes family :)

Truly enjoyed this night out with unique dishes that were quite flavorful. The staff was excellent the only drawback was parking which in itself would probably not have been so bad had I known the area better

Been going since they opened 20 years ago.
They have expanded since then but the quality has stayed the same.
I live 1 hour away now but try to stop in when we in Boston Area.
Joe the owner does a great job. Love their tripe but everything on the menu is incredible.

Love everything! Been coming here since I was a teenager in the late 80s! They have THE BEST Tripe around anywhere! Tastes like home!

I have eaten here a number of times and the service, food quality is second to none. MY 90 year old mother, an italian woman living in Everett since 1954 loves it here and will go to NO OTHER place for italian food. I wish I could give them 10 stars I would!.

Great food, very nice service, we had thr best shrimp scampi, broccoli rapi & raviolis, everything made the way we like it!! Will be going back again, one of our favorite resturants!!
