I’ve been going to David’s Shoes in Cambridge for years. I always get plenty of assistance in finding just what I want!
They carry a great selection of shoes and boots at excellent prices. Parking is easy in the neighborhood. I will continue to recommend David’s shoes to all my friends and family.

First visit to David’s Shoes On First but definitely not my last! My feet are very wide and it’s nearly impossible for me to find shoes that I like and that fit me well. Robert took the time needed to ensure that I left the store with a well made pair of shoes that fit me perfectly! I thought this level of customer service was a thing of the past. Not at Shoes On First!

Good choice of quality shoes and great service! They have dress shoes, hiking boots, and casual shoes for men and women. Brands like Clark's, Samuel Hubbard, Josef Seibel, Merrell, Chippewa, Carhartt, etc etc. very friendly.

I needed new dress shoes, and I was unsure about my size because my feet seem to keep getting wider every year. The owner -- quite friendly and knowledgeable -- helped me figure out my size and gave me advice on what types of shoes would be most comfortable. I found a style and a fit I really liked, and because they didn't have my preferred color in stock, I placed a special order that arrived within a week. Besides the excellent service and selection, the prices at David's on First are very reasonable.

It’s so great that an excellent and reliable shoe store like David’s on First still exists. They have a great selection of reliable high quality shoes. The level of shoe quality is notably higher when compared to my recent shopping experiences at a local mall and online shopping vendor. The service, assistance with sizing etc makes it a really positive experience. I’m very grateful that a store like David’s still exists in our community. Buy local!!

This place is great. I've never been into fashion but wanted to get some casual shoes that look classy and the guy there was super helpful! Good a pair that I felt really good in. Price was pretty good too. They have a great selection of dress shoes too but that's not what I was there for. Definitely recommending this place in the future!

Wow the store is impressive! Their new location just down the street from their previous location at 117 First St. Cambridge, MA. Amazing selection of quality shoes for men and women, which is hard to find these days. I bought these super comfortable Samuel Hubbard shoes recommended by the owner. I have bad knees and wanted a stylish comfortable shoe that could be worn for any occasion. These are perfect. Bob is knowledgeable, attentive, honest and patient. Prices are awesome too - better than internet prices. This place is a rare find! I will be back to pick out work boots. 🥾

I have bought shoes exclusively at David's for 25 years. The assistance is professional, the choice from casual to dress is excellent and the prices are competitive. Parking is not a problem. We are fortunate that this store continues to offer one stop shopping for quality footwear.

Highly recommend this store if you’re looking for shoes that are comfortable and stylish. They carry a good selection of Merrills and Clarks that I can’t find anywhere else. I thought the store had closed for good a while back. So I was happy to hear the store reopened and is only a few blocks away from its original location near the Cambridge-side Galleria; It’s very easy to get to by the red or green lane trains, and the owner is super helpful and patient.

Came here for Blundstones- they are cheaper here than online! Excellent service. I had a very thoughtful and honest consultation with the owner and picked what I wanted. The size and finish I wanted were not in stock but he ordered them and they came in a few days. Will definitely come again!
