Our impromptu visit to Nico Ristorante in Boston turned out to be a delightful surprise. Despite not having a reservation, the staff promptly accommodated us and seated us at a table, which was a pleasant start to our evening.
Our waitress, Treisi Q, provided adequate service throughout the meal. While she may not have stood out as exceptional, she ensured that our needs were met and our dining experience remained smooth.
However, it was the food at Nico Ristorante that truly stole the show. The combination of flavors and the attention to detail in each dish were simply outstanding. I started with the Arugula Salad, which was fresh, vibrant, and perfectly dressed. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the signature pasta dish. The chef's expertise shone through as the pasta was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were nothing short of exceptional. Kudos to the chef for creating such a memorable culinary experience.
Although the restaurant itself is small and the tables are close together, it did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the evening. In fact, the intimate setting added to the cozy ambiance and created a sense of warmth that complemented the delicious food.
If you're searching for a remarkable dining experience in Boston, I highly recommend Nico Ristorante. The amazing food, attentive service, and charming atmosphere make it a standout choice. Whether you have a reservation or decide to drop by spontaneously like we did, you're in for a treat. Prepare your taste buds for an adventure and indulge in the culinary delights that Nico Ristorante has to offer.

Let me start by saying, we didn't have a resy and just walked up at 6pm. They seated us right away. The ambiance was my jam...lively upbeat music, the staff were very happy and extremely attentive. I can honestly say we had our favorite Italian meals here and we've been to Italy more times than we can count. My husband is Italian! The Linguini scampi was the best we have ever had! ❤ The burrata and proscuitto hands down the most flavorful dish we've had. The bread was fresh and soft. The service could not matched.

I would come back here in a heartbeat and come every week! It was that good! I would suggest a bigger wine list with less expensive options. We settled for a $95 Vino Nobile... but less than that was far and few. They are not big on dessert since they can't compete with the pastry shops within walking distance! One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to! Bravo Nico Ristorante! 🏁

Had a nice business dinner here. The bartender was super friendly, attentive, and fun. We moved to a table after our party showed up. I enjoyed the food as it was fresh, good presentations, and tasteful. It tasted rich and authentic. I would go back again. My only complaint is the waiter never asked if we wanted dessert or a second round of drinks. When it got close to closing time our check showed up.

Enjoyed a meal on a Sunday while brunch service was available. We stuck with the Italian classics, however. We had a reservation and were seated promptly, the restaurant is quite small. Full bar available. Excellent service provided including attending to our special dietary needs. We started with a giant meatball and a salad, both of which were quite tasty. Entrees included chicken parm, linguine scampi, and vodka sauce/sausage plate. Portions are generous and we enjoyed the food. Prices are reasonable if not inexpensive.

We unexpectedly came in for drinks and ended up staying for dinner, as the food looked SOOOOOO GOOD. Our food was fantastic and can't wait to come back! Wow...Also, Sam the bartender did a fantastic job! He was our guide through the night and can't wait to come back.

Bread was fresh and great. Sacchetti for an appetizer and dinners were Rigatoni alla Vodka and Fusili con Gamberoni. Everything was great and it was a Sunday night so not busy. Would definitely recommend

My wife and I had a wonderful experience here. Service was full on its game and atmosphere was a nice Chill vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed the place and would suggest you give it a try. Prices are way to fair for quality of the place. Go and get more than you paid for. Serious. I had the Portocini Rav with White Truffle cream sauce. "eyes crossing" amazing.

We had the best dinner and experience!!! We had the Cacio e Pepe at tableside. It was wonderful! We also had the meatball appetizer to go with it. Both dishes were flavorful and cooked to perfection!! The staff were very attentive, friendly and the service was quick! We highly recommend!!

I enjoyed our brunch here. Personally I prefer a monkey bread that is a bit softer but it was delicious nonetheless.

Great chicken and waffle, omelette, and lobster benedict.

Would tone the music down a notch so I don’t have to yell across the table to be heard. But I understand they’re going for a hype atmosphere. Still a great time.

We took a chance without a reservation. The hostess was kind enough to fit us in for dinner with seating at the bar. The restaurant is tiny (there is a downstairs). It is in a cool neighborhood. We had delicious cocktails at the bar. Had an appetizer and all had entrees. All were delicious. For the quality of food I don’t really think it was expensive. We really loved the vibe of the place. Great service. They have really cool photos of celebrities hanging on the wall with who I assume is the owner. Look forward to going back!

Our waiter Marcel and his crew treated us fabulously and we really enjoyed ourselves at Nico tonight. The Veal parmigiana was tender, flavorful and delicious. The meatballs with spaghetti made us feel like we were in Italy. Service was impeccable, that atmosphere was wonderful Italian. We highly recommend!!
PS: it's fun to look at all the celebrity pictures that line the walls, look for the one where Nico is pictured with the Pope!

This is a wonderful example of a typical (meant as a compliment) Italian restaurant in Boston's North End! We didn't have reservations yet the hostess sat us quickly by an open window. This was a perfect location to experience the ambience and energy of the restaurant yet watch sidewalk activities as well. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered meatball Parmesan. I grew up 30 miles north of this area and I'd never heard of it before but how could I go wrong. It was fabulous! The meatballs were actual meat cakes, so flavorful and smothered in marina sauce. My wife had the spaghetti tossed in Parmesan cheese which was prepared table side. Her dish was over the top!

Loved the vibe of hungry tourists stopping to replenish their energy or families meeting here after work/school. BTW, we found it by sitting at Paul Revere's statue and looking slightly to the right! Terrific restaurant! You won't be disappointed...

Amazing date spot! The cacio e pepe is a great date food item because it's made in front of you, the rigatoni pasta is amazing, the calamari is delicious, the atmosphere is fantastic and quaint while also being modern. The prices are honestly not bad at all too. 10/10 would recommend for a great date spot or celebration place!

Nice place. It has its atmosphere. On the walls are a lot of photos of the owner with celebrities (I assume it is the owner of the place). During the summer they open the windows and you feel this breeze from outside. The service was good. My friends and I came there for some appetizers and cocktails. Everything tasted great. My boyfriend and I ordered Burratta & Prosciutto and Octopus. They served Burratta & Prosciutto in a beautiful manner, prosciutto looked like roses. I will go there again to try their main course as well. So far I liked everything.

My wife always wanted to try Cacio e Pepe and seeing as Nicos does it table side I figured this would be a great place to take her for our anniversary. When we arrived at the restaurant, they informed us that our table would be downstairs, not thinking anything of it, we went down and had a seat. When it came time to order that is when they informed us that they don’t do the table side dish downstairs. They would have to prepare it upstairs, and then bring it down to us.
When I informed the hostess, sorry I wish I got her name but I didn’t .The main reason we were there was for the table side, presentation of the dish . She was fantastic and somehow managed to get us a table upstairs in a very full and crowded restaurant allowing us to have a table side presentation of the dish being prepared. My wife absolutely loved it. It was such a great time. Thanks to the awesome staff. I would highly recommend Nicos for anybody that wants some delicious authentic Italian food when visiting Boston. Once again, I would like to just say thanks to the hostess for doing what she did. It definitely saved the day and made a great night into an amazingly awesome night.

Wonderful food and a wonderful night! Seating hostess worked exceptionally hard to get us an open spot, despite us not having a reservation (you’re the best, Tracy!) Immediate, quality service from our server (thanks Eddie!) who checked on us all the time. Dishes are nothing short of amazing deliciousness. Great place to go on a Boston evening!

If you are looking for somewhere fun with good service and great food on the North End, this is your place. To be honest, we chose Nico this time simply to try the dish we enjoyed for dinner.

We both ordered the Cacio e Pepe prepared tableside. At the suggestion of the waiter we also ordered a meatball to go with it.

Not only was the tableside preparation fun (see the attached photo), but it was really tasty as well. The fresh Parmesan and cracked pepper gave the spaghetti incredible flavor without being heavy. That’s where the meatball comes in. Next time we would skip the meatball and enjoy a lighter meal so we are ready to enjoy our pastries from Mike’s a little sooner.

Since we were celebrating my wife’s birthday, we received an incredible white chocolate mousse with a sparkler on it to celebrate. That was a nice touch!

Here’s the deal: if you want to try Parmesan wheel pasta, or Cacio e Pepe, this is your spot. What a delightful evening!

I almost didn’t go here because it looked so small and unassuming! But all employees were so friendly and the food was delicious. I am now back in Texas from our trip, but still keep thinking about the food. I got the vodka rigatone and the porcini ravioli, and the Italian wine recommended from the waiter, and it was all perfect for a cold rainy Boston night.
I really want to thank the staff for also being so nice to our two kids who annoyed them for the wifi password. I am always worried people at fancy dining establishments are going to be irritated by me bringing kids but they were so warm and accommodating. I hope to come back one day!

Stopped in for a pre-dinner drink with a friend before going next door for dinner. One of the best Manhattan’s I’ve had in a long time. Great bar service with a really nice modern feel. The food looks pretty phenomenal and everyone was raving about the meatballs. Next time I’m in the North End, I’m going to try the food. I’d go here if you want that North End Italian food, but want a bit more of a modern vibe.

I'll get right to it. I ordered the cacio e pepe and it was incredible. Best pasta I've ever had. Best food I've ever had.
