Another one of DePasquale Venture’s restaurant with great food.

At Assagio, seafood dishes were undeniable stars of the menu. The Lobster Fra Diavolo offered an incredibly rich and flavorful experience. Whole Maine lobster melded harmoniously with garlic and Colino tomatoes, creating a dish that's both robust and refined. Meanwhile, the Vongole pasta was nothing short of a marvel. The pasta seemed to absorb the clam’s very essence, making each bite burst with their rich flavors. Not to be outshone, the Truffle Crusted Tuna came seared to perfection. The crust imparted a truffle aroma that subtly elevated the dish, making it more than just another seafood entrée.

The Veal Chop, although not as memorable as the seafood, was still worth a mention. Stuffed with Parma prosciutto and Italian fontina, the dish started promisingly with its tender, flavorful first bites. However, as I delved deeper toward the stuffing, the meat became a bit denser and drier than I would’ve hoped.

If you're planning a visit to Assagio, I'd highly recommend zoning in on their seafood pasta dishes. Despite a minor misstep with the veal, the overall experience here was exceptional.

We ordered the Seafood Stew, my wife and I shared it, and it was delicious and so ample we brought home a swordfish steak.

First time visit for a fairly large group celebrating birthdays. Service was excellent, appetizers, meals, and desserts were amazing. Definitely would like to make a return visit.

Hidden gem off the busy streets of the North End. Ended up here after most of the places on Hanover had nothing available for a large party. Just happened to walk by and now this may be our new favorite Italian stop. The menu has something for everyone, the restaurant is beautiful and the appetizers are amazing and great for sharing. You have to try the fried Zucchini flowers with ricotta.

2021 BOS Restaurant Week: 4th Stop

This is one of the restaurant we are looking for so long and can’t wait to give it a try during this Boston restaurant week. It’s also our date night and we are very excited.

We choose to be there at 4pm right after they opened because we want to skip the crowd and enjoy the dinner alone. This restaurant is very beautiful and they opened the window doors and the weather is so nice. It reminds us of Spain.

The food is very artistic and beautiful, not only the appetizer and main course, but also every detail of the color and sauce. it’s so juicy and delicious.

The service is wonderful. They are very professional and understanding their own menu. They provided a good recommendations and options. We love this place a lot. We will definitely bring our friends and family here again. So far, it’s our favorite restaurant in Boston. Cheers!

Updated: after our first wonderful experience, our friends and family finally got a chance to explore this wonderful restaurant again. We choose this restaurant for our early Mother’s Day celebration. The “full size” of the appetizers and main dishes are amazing! They are continually bringing wonderful food and service, the dessert is amazing. They made the fresh tiramisu in front of you. It surprised us and we love it. What a great time there. Highly recommended this hidden gem.

We went to celebrate our 8th Anniversary, From the host to the waitress everyone was very pleasant, the food was amazing from eggplant appetizer, gnocchi pasta and stuffed veal chops is a must try. Food was mouth watering, highly recommend this place we were seated on the main floor which was cozy, they have a lounge upstairs which we went and checked out later it was nice and the ambience and the music was good too, we will check that next time. They gave us complementary lemonchello shots that was also good!

This was a lovely, authentic Italian style. Dining experience in Boston's North end with incredible service. Tasty and delightfully strong drinks and enough food. To fill your belly with some to take on period a wonderful place for a fancy day for that special lady in your life. Or fellas.

What a experience. This place is definitely a Gem. Can’t find a better Italian in the city. The staff was wonderful, the setting was close and intimate. Felt like a family Gathering. The past and seafood was unmatched.

We came here after dinner in the North End to try their Espresso Martini, as we heard they had some of the best in Boston and we were not disappointed! The chocolate powder around the inside of the rim was unique but so delicious and the martini itself was very smooth and rich.

The upstairs bar area was very chic and intimate and had a fantastic vibe - would definitely come back again!

Fantastic food at pretty competitive prices... The osso bucco is one of the best in Boston, and definitely one of the cheapest, and the grigliata is a (delicious!) sight to behold. The wine list is also great, and Natalia is one of the friendliest and most helpful servers I've ever met. Definitely one of my favorite places in the North End, and it even takes reservations, so you can roll up 5 minutes before your meal and laugh at the tourists waiting in epic lines outside some other vastly overrated Hanover Street restaurants which shall remain nameless. My only (very minor) complaint is that there are a lot of tables in a relatively small area, so maneuvering can be a little challenging, but well worth it! Not to be missed!!

We totally enjoyed what we selected for salad, entrees and dessert. Our server Lucas was exceptionally wonderful and the servers of the food etc. were excellent. The main floor dining with white table clothes and quiet atmosphere for conversation.

Wowww, from start to finish woww. Amazing service, bread was so fresh. The cocktails were balanced and delicious. The meatballs and fresh ricotta were to die for, only qualm is wish we had more because I want that taste in my mouth again. The pasta was top tier, one of my favorite meals in the north end.

Let me say this......... other than a wobbly table...... it was the best date night I had ever take my lady to. From the service to the wine to the food, all served and presented so well. Cesar our server was so exceptionally great and even though he was so super busy made us feel like we were his only table. Although a little too dry for my girlfriend I found the wine to be excellent

My date got the seafood platter which was amazing, I just have a hard time not getting pasta. I had lasagna, probably in the top 5 I've ever had. Not fancy, just very very good (was waiter's suggestion). The apps on bread we're really good and the blueberry cheesecake was one of the top cheesecakes I've had (and given the other was in Australia 15+ years ago, this is easier to get to and may take top billing)

We had such a great time at Assaggio ! The food was outstanding, the service was very friendly and everything came out quickly. We highly recommend you eat here when you’re visiting Boston. Nicole is by far the best bartender we have ever had. We hope you are lucky enough to have her!
