The Amsden

We stopped by for a local cup of coffee on the way to a distillery tour. This is the cutest shop with friendly service and relaxing vibe. I ordered something that I had gotten at a national chain and Amsden’s was superior. We would go again for sure!

The only locally owned coffee shop in Versailles. Quaint and beautiful. The scones are delicious and so is the coffee. Great place to relax, catch up with friends, or grab a pick me up after shopping. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

The floor plan is a bit small but the standing bar area is a good spot to post up and people watch outside of the windows. The vibes were super cozy!

I had a dirty chai latte with an oat milk substitute. It was such a welcome hot drink on a cool fall afternoon.

Such a cute place!! The coffee was great (just slightly bitter) and the shop was absolutely adorable. There was a nice selection of vintage clothes and handmade art and jewelry! Definitely a must-see if you’re in Versailles :)

Great little coffee shop, either for a quick take-out visit, or to hang out with friends. Several students were studying together when we stopped by. Service was very friendly and quick. The adjoining boutique is a fun browse as well, with some unique gift items.

This place is outstanding! Drove 40 minutes just to check this place out. I had the Brown sugar white mocha amd let me just tell you I could of chugged it! It was so good. My mom had a caramel bourbon frappe. And she literally couldn't keep her face out of it. I also love they are local. There is coffee and a local artist shop. That we bought some cute earrings and rings from.

The coffee and pastries here are great! And the little shop connected to the coffee shop is nice for walking around while you wait.

We drove to Versailles from Lexington just to try their coffee. It was smooth and delicious. It's a really cute place with a little boutique in the back. Definitely worth a visit!!

I love this place to death, and will never stop going when in town. Grateful for everything the owner is doing to revitalize downtown Versailles.

To go from good to great though, the coffee can be improved. If you are a first timer, I would recommend a flavored beverage. Not a coffee expert, but I think the beans that are being used seem to be consistently over roasted. Purchased a bag to use them personally, and they are very oily (albeit it is a dark roast) which is bad for the grinder and leaves an aftertaste. Also, there is no roast date on the bag.

Loved it! Visited after eating lunch next door at Melissa's. Perfect finish to a great meal. The coffee was wonderful.

Cannot love this place more. You can tell how much love is poured into this mercantile. Always my first stop in from Chicago.

Lovely little place. The service counter and "kitchen" is maybe 10-15 ft wide, so typically there are 1-2 staff working. If you catch them at a busy time, there is understandably going to be a bit of a wait. But the staff have always been efficient, friendly, and pricing is reasonable for the product. Baked goods from Midway Bakery is a great bonus, but they do disappear fast. Worth the visit, every time.

Limited food options but the coffee is the best in Versailles! Super cute shop right off the coffee shop which is perfect for finding one of a kind gifts. Super cute spot to study and drink a cup of coffee.
