First time visitors- it's quiet, beautiful, peaceful and interesting. Lots of wildflowers blooming especially in the meadow. It's very diverse topography. Heed prior warnings about ticks and chiggers. Wear pants especially if you go to the meadow and use repellent. We still had ticks on us but brushed them off.

Such a hidden gem! Not necessarily well-known. Generous parking. Pretty extensive trail system with the occasional waterfall and wooden bridge. Charming. Quietly scenic. Lightly used -- never crowded. Cell service can be quite spotty -- 911 should work, though, if you have an emergency. Happy exploring!

This is not an easy hike. There are areas of trail that are very steep with loose rocks, uneven paths, roots and little invisible stumps sticking out of the ground. One steep incline even made the dog out of breath! If you want to see some of the water falls grab a pair of waterproof boots and hike the creek, gotta have a good heavy rain to see them. Some areas of the trail are grass and well maintained, lots of little bridges across the creek along the way. If you want an easier hike take the entrance at the end of the parking lot at the round about instead of the one by the bathrooms. Happy hiking!

217 acres of hiking trails in Oldham KY. This park was once the property of the Morgan family for over 100 years. A cattle and tobacco farm, the park itself is 252 acres and was part of the much larger farming operation. The park was acquired in 2003 and sits adjacent to land that is still owned by the family. There are over 4 miles of trails throughout the park which highlight its various features and terrains. Waterfalls, geological outcroppings, and even an old burial site that was owned by the Abbott family and dating back to the mid 1800s. The Morgan Conservation Park is home to many species of birds, mammals and amphibians. The park now preserves numerous types of wildlife and plant life and ensures it will be enjoyed by generations to come.

Challenging trails that were very muddy, slippery and often times steep. Not to say it wasn't fun but plan on getting g dirty and seeing some beautiful waterfalls child.

I love this spot! Great walking trails and a little tucked away off the beaten path. Clean gazebo with tables and restrooms too.

Thoroughly enjoyed hiking the trails here. A good mix of slopes & terrain - steep spots that will give you a brief workout, followed by gently rolling spots where you can stroll along through the woods and enjoy the natural beauty & wildlife. Enjoyed this much more than the state park where I live, which is almost entirely steep trails. Looked at posted trail map before we hiked and saw some features I wanted to check out, but somehow we missed a few of them. Trail signage was a little confusing, but we decided to just enjoy wherever our path took us. Definitely want to come back after a rain, to experience the small waterfalls here. Love that they are keeping it as natural as possible with very little man made intrusions and appreciate that patrons are helping to keep this slice of nature completely pristine. Never ran into any other hikers. Loved the seclusion. Will definitely be back!

Great little conservation park, kind out of the way, but that is great for anyone wanting a quiet spot without more traffic other parks in and around LaGrange are subject to. Even spotted momma white tail deer and her two very young fawns playing in meadow, while sitting in parking lot.

There are warnings for ticks and other nature related pests but that would only be a problem for hikers and then alleviated by appropriate OTC spray and common sense preparation ahead of time.

Please know this is located about 10 minutes outside of La Grange, take KY-42 towards Bedford, then watch the signs for turn on left. Follow road about 2 miles back and look for entry on right.

Love going to Morgan conservation Park. We take our puppy and walk the trails, which are very beautiful. It's a good place to go for, release, relaxing, and just having fun. Please if you haven't been, take time to go and see for yourself.

Natural bluegrass landscape offers various tracks to be explored. The hiking trails are very balanced. Several offer the beginner challenges while other trails offer experts to test their endurance. Foliage, fossil, bird and wildlife opportunities are all available.
