I really appreciate the efficiency and care I receive with Dr. Lavender & his team. The main reason I return to only Dr. Lavender is because of trust. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and up to date on lots of medical issues. I had a simple procedure that did require a bit of freezing and the nurses assisting were super friendly and kept me chatting which helped take my mind away from the occasional sting. Very clever! They were genuinely interested in the conversation and continued even after Dr. Lavender was finished. I recommend giving Dr. Lavender a chance as you’ll be in the best hands with expert care.

Super Doctor! Had hand surgery to remove a mass and couldn't be happier with the results. Staff and Dr. Lavender were both efficient and effective.

First, I’d like to say that Dr. lavender is amazing. My mother has been a patient for over 10 years. However, the lack of professionalism of front desk staff is unfortunate. After my mother disclosed she is a Medicaid recipient, she wanted to pay with care credit. She disclosed this to front desk staff prior to her appointment. Staff completely embarrassed her and said; well, we can’t make you pay anything. As a professional who accepts Medicaid, I’m unfamiliar with this policy. As an established patient, this should have been handled differently. I called myself to determine if you can pay out of pocket or with care credit if you have Medicaid or have an insurance that is not accepted. Staff said no. We cannot see you if you are a Medicaid recipient. My mother loves Dr. Lavender. This is sad. Also, front desk ladies, you violated HIPPA by disclosing to me that my mother is a patient, when you did not have permission to do so. Only in small towns is that fine. I live around DC and someone could lose their job for that. Learn your regulations. As far as Dr. lavender, he’s great! Regards, Ashlea Hardin

Dr. Lavender has some of the rudest office staff. My husband needed to see a dermatologist will a skin disease affecting his facial area and other upper body places especially his eyes. It’s so bad he can’t see to drive or work, etc. Because he accepts Medicare but not Medicaid (don’t pay enough I imagine). Refused to see him. He’s been to ER, etc and my brother n law got in to see him same day with Medicare insurance. My husband is with Medicare and Medicaid. She was very rude. “We have Nothing to do with Medicaid Patients!” I said he has Medicare too! She didn’t want to hear anything of it - “if he had Medicaid to we won’t see him!” It’s just wrong how they handle their business.

My Doctor made an appointment when arrived was turned away as my secondary insurance was Medicaid. Didn't matter what other primary insurance was still wouldn't see me.

I was surprised to find out that Dr. Lavender is not board certified in dermatology.

If you can get past the receptionist I’m sure he would be a great doctor
