I don't understand all the negative comments. My sister-in-law was transferred here from a Grundy VA facility. The hospital and care she received at PMC was far superior to anything she got while in Grundy. The nurses and doctors on the 9th floor ICU provided excellent care. I'm from Philadelphia where we have World Class hospitals and I was pleasantly surprised by the care and professionalism at PMC. Our family is very grateful to all the Doctors, Nurses and Staff who cared for my Sister-In-Law

I was recently a patient at Pikeville Medical Center and I received the very best care ever! From the doctors to the nurses down the rest of the way every thing was excellent! I’m not not from around the Pikeville area, in fact I live in Chapmanville , WV but their care surpasses that of my local hospital which would be
Logan Regional Hospital! Thank you Pikeville Medical, Kim Hawks

Beat hospital i ever been to but the billing department is awful its a joke. I tried to set my bill up to be paid everymonth they wanted 340$ a month. I told them I'd pay a 100$ a month. I have been paying that for 4 months and without warning or anything they turned it over to collections and I always paid before the due date. I have never had anything to go to collections before in my life. I have always paid my bills on time . I always used a
Holston valley for everything and someone told me go to Pikeville for my knee replacement and so I did. The dr and nurses are awesome and because of this I may never use them again. Now I have collections on me wanting me to pay them. I wish I could talk to someone higher up and get this fixed. Thank you Julie Mullins

I was admitted with Covid in September 2021 and spent 6 weeks in the hospital. With one single exception (that being a Dr. who stopped my treatment and released me too soon a few days after I was admitted) from the time I was admitted until the day I left I had the most extraordinary doctors, nurses, therapists, aids and other staff! I couldn’t have been treated any better! They were so skilled and just as important, they were kind, understanding, humane and even loving. All of those are so important when you are critically ill and have to be isolated from even your own family. They held my hand, prayed with me, hugged me—all which they couldn’t possibly get paid enough to do! I will never forget all the men and women who took such excellent care of me and to any and all of them out there who may be reading this—I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I love you all!

My Mom was in the Trauma Center for a week. I can't speak for other areas but the Trauma center was amazing. The doctors were very attentive and great about explaining things to us and answering any questions. I felt like they were fighting just as hard for her as if she were their family. Her nurses Sarah and Makenzie were so great with Mom. They worked hard to take care of not only Mom but us as well. They paid very close attention to her and any changes she made. I can't thank them enough for Everything they did for our family.

My family has been exceptionally pleased with the care at PMC. Dr. Ahmad in the Heart Clinic gave us three years with our mother that we definitely would not have had if we hadn't moved her from Bristol. I see physicians in Cardiology, Orthopedics, Neurology, Pulmonology and have been very satisfied with the care I have received. The nursing staff is efficient and very caring.

After my husband was taken to ER in Norton VA, 2times, and Holston valley hospital in Tennessee, with being told he had a pulled muscle, he was getting worse worse, couldn't hardly stand, only could lay in one position, the pain had become hellish, and tormenting my brother Lawrence encouraged me to take him to Pikeville, hospital so we did, Dr Johnson was his Dr, and got down to the problem, Dr Johnson diagnosed him with Epiploic Appendagitis, , never had heard of this, but thanks to a brilliant caring Dr , he is now on the road to recovery, thanks to each and everyone that took Care of him , you are my heros

I will give nothing but two thumbs up all the way. Recovering COV 19 patient and they were on top of things from the second I arrived. Came in critical from 2 hrs away to ICU but stabled in 2 days to private room. Answered all questions, never rushed in and out, patient, time to talk and listen, attended all needs and very best of bedside manner in ALL staff. Five stars for me. I am alive by prayers doctors and good medicine. I highly recommend. Some of you people expect a spa or vacation and don't give good reviews ever. Can't please you. Some of you are trolls and liars. Shame on you. This place is excellent.

My husband recently had to be in Pikeville Medical Center. It was excellent!! The care he received was outstanding.I just can't say enough good things about this place. Everyone was very helpful, kind ,caring.
Without the help he received at PMC he would not be alive and at home now.
If I could give it 1000 stars on review I would.

I have had great experiences with the Urology Clinic during a vasectomy procedure performed by Doctor Swafford. Three of my four children had a tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy from Doctor Hoskins. The staff at Doctor Hoskins practice were great and I would recommend them to anyone who has a child with troublesome tonsils. Facilities are modern and clean.

I'm from out of state & had an accident hiking the Red Fox trail that ended with a dislocated shoulder. I was checked in at the ER quickly and waited less than 10 mins before I was taken to a room. Every single person I encountered here was extremely nice & helpful. I didn't feel like I was bothering them when I asked questions about what they needed to do. From check in to when I was released was less than 2 hours, faster than I've ever been in & out of an ER where I'm from!

Best hospital I've ever used. Everyone there exceptionally friendly. Efficient. I get free medical care at the Veterans hospital, but they've nearly killed me twice, and Pikeville saved me both times. They also prevented me from having unnecessary surgery the VA wanted to do to me. I'd rather pay for good service than get killed for free. Better to be poor and alive than rich and dead.

I can’t say enough for the ER team at this hospital. I was there 4 days for treatment and there wasn’t anything they wouldn’t help me with. Great staff. Very attentive and meticulous testing. I was literally dying in the hands of my hometown ER and was transferred to Pikeville. I had days to live and Pikeville got me back on my feet in 4 days. Can’t thank the staff enough.

My dad was lifeflighted from Whitesburg ARH in critical condition. PMC Staff did a wonderful job of assessing, diagnosing and caring for my dad the week he was in ICU. I have no doubts that my dad wouldn't have made it without PMC ICU Staff's meticulous attention to detail and professionalism. Thank you from the bottom of my ❤.

Today marked the day the day that I received my second shot of the COVID -vaccine. Even with the threat of inclement weather and people trying to get their shots, the process was streamlined and ran as smooth as the day I received my fist dose. Workers were readily available to have all participants moving along quickly and efficiently. Good job PMC!

I just moved here 3 months ago and ended up with a family emergency. The staff and everyone I have come in contact with has been over the top exceptional. I can not ask for better people to take care of my family member. Where I moved from, everyone was rude and uninformative so this is a blessing during our tragedy. Thank you to all.
