We searched for a place to take a break on our way and we found this place. The entrance of this place looks like an abandoned property but if you drive up to the hill you will find a place to park, then we walked up through the little gate and right there were restrooms and to the left. At first there is nothing in site then we walked all the way around we found two huge Ramadas and a very nice play place for the kids. The bathrooms were very clean. had a long story for the mining industry. There are few walking trails up the deserted mountain, there are warnings for rattle snakes. We were already tired with kids so we didn't take the hike. It was perfect for our family.

Great historic site. So much to see and a lot to read along the way. They have a frisbee golf course there too and a really nice kids play ground! Very nice stop when passing through!

The best spot for my daughter was the playground there. Even adults loved it.

The playground was fun, the picnic area was well shaded, and the restrooms were well maintained and clean. The informational signs about mining equipment and history were well done. Just don't expect grass (welcome to the desert🙂), and you won't be disappointed.

Not your average park. It's a defunct mining operation that has been set up for public use. The trails have informational signs for the various pieces of equipment and buildings. The playground is nice. It even has a zip line for kids, adults won't make it to the end (as I found out).its definitely worth a visit.

You'll love this historic mine site in Globe, AZ. My children are grown but if they weren't, I'd take them too. Great little park, perfect for children. Lots of signage on history of the mine and trails to hike and see all the sites. Adults will find it worth the trip.

I love this place. it is perfect to take the kids to fly kites, to the park, have picnic/party, or to hike a mountain trail. I highly recommend this for families and for people wanting to see the old mine. (keep in mind the mine is fenced and not hands on) You can see up close and touch the parts on display by the childrens park.

Nice park that gives a one of a kind walk into Arizona's mining history. Nice place to take a hike. Amazing playground for the kids. Disk golf course is a challenge but well marked. This is an excellent stop.

Challenging disc-golf course. If you have the right app you will find the tees and baskets. Definitely do not play this on your own or you will lose some disks. Perfect place to take your family and let the kids play in the playground while you do your disc-golfing. Also if you are a history buff then you will enjoy all the rich history and markers in this park. One more thing, this is the perfect course for good exercise. Looking forward to coming here again.

A great historic hiking spot and many trails to try out. Learn about the history of the park while hiking and there's also barbeque/hangout areas and a playground for kids.

This is a one of a kind walk into Arizona’s most fascinating mining history. Right off the US 60 on Murphy street lies a time capsule of Globe, dating back to 1857. This place is free to visit and they allow pets on a leash. You can easily spend all day here, as there are many well marked trails. Most of the exhibits are fenced off but you can visibly see everything. There are a plethora of well marked trail heads with plenty of informational history signs. They have restrooms and a playground for children. Great hike for mom, dad, kiddos and even easy enuf for grandma. Get out and explore this place, it’s full of adventure!

Big park with hiking trails and loads of info about what took place here. Didn't get to see much of it as it was 100° that day. But seems like a very interesting place.
